The Gongga Mountain region is located in the transition zone of the Sichuan Basin and the Tibet Plateau. It is also the combination belt that connects the Tibet Plate’s eastern edge and the Yangtze Plate. There has active neo-tectonic movement and obvious characteristics of modern glaciers. There has formed many Geosciences Landscape resources of multi-type, high grade, good combination and wide range distribution, which mainly include steep peaks with snow, modern glaciers, travertine, hot springs and other geological relic landscapes, accompanied with forests, grasslands, meteorological landscape and unique Tibetan customs.But due to the lag of protection consciousness and methods, many Geosciences Landscape s have been suffered with different degrees of threat under the influence of increasing human activities. There is an urgent need for more scientific and reasonable protection and development.At present, a huge tourism market with Tibet Plateau as destination is spontaneously forming. A large number of self-driving into the plateau has brought serious damage to the fragile plateau ecology.Therefore, the study on protection and development of Geosciences Landscape resources of Gongga Mountain has representative meaning, both in protecting the plateau environment, popularizing the geological tourism knowledge, and in spurring regional social and economic development.This paper firstly introduces the scope and location characteristics of the study region, elaborates the foundation and significance of the research topics, presents three conceptual problems that intended to be solved:From the recognizing method aspect, how to recognize and evaluate the Geosciences Landscape more comprehensively? From the development strategy aspect, how to protect and develop the Geosciences Landscape resources more feasibly? From the protection technology aspect, how to protect geological environment more effectively?In response to these three questions, this paper is divided into three main parts to commence the study:The first part is basic research on Geosciences Landscape resources of Gongga Mountain. On the basis of previous studies, classify the representative Geosciences Landscape of Gongga Mountain, analyze the scene mechanism, and introduce the scientific knowledge theory of landscape aesthetics in recognizing point of view to enrich the theoretical methods of Geoscience Tourism, evaluate Geosciences Landscape resources of Gongga Mountain; Based on the evaluation results, propose the theoretical protecting andutilizing direction on main type of Gongga Mountain Geosciences Landscape.The second part, under the guidance of the concept that "protection is the premise of development and development is for better protection ", with regard of the development situation of Gongga Mountain Geosciences Landscape and problems exposed, combined with local social and economic development situation, learn from the theory of sustainable development, low-carbon economy, point-axis system, wisdom scenic and others, propose the protection and development direction and strategy of Gongga Mountain Geosciences Landscape s. In this direction, propose a protection and development mode of Gongga Mountain Geosciences Landscape s.This mode is composed of five subsystems such as information system, protection system, development system, lifting system and management system, it constitutes a theoretical framework of positive interaction and scientific development, while maintaining the architectural integrity of the entire mode at the same time to avoid confusion and overlap.The third part, against the ineffective protection situation of Gongga Mountain region Geosciences Landscape and ecological environment, the study constructs a geological environmental monitoring system which includes modern technologies such as3S technology and RFID technology by using the concept of wisdom scenic and combined with modern science and technology. This system has the characteristics of visibility, intelligent, real-time andopenness, which makes up for some of the shortcomings of traditional manual monitoring that can greatly enhance the protection efficiency of the geological environment of Gongga Mountain Region, and can also provide a reference example for intelligent environmental monitoring in similar resource endowments of nature reserves and geological parks.
