Research On Open Technological Innovation Mode In Large-enterprises

Technological innovation is the key to national competitive advantage and sustainable development of enterprises. Internationalization and open innovation become the effective way for enterprises to conduct technological innovation and obtain sustainable competitive ability.Based on former domestic and international studies, this paper makes in-depth researches on the connotation of large enterprises’open technological innovation. Open technological innovation means enterprises use internal and external innovation thoughts to research and develop new technologies and new products, and through internal and external various ways, achieve the commericalization of technological innovation. In the open technological innovation mode, enterprises conduct optimization and integration based on different stakeholders of technical innovation, and with their respective resources, industry competition conditions, market space and technology attributes. In the open innovation paradigm, the enterprise boundary is fuzzy. The internal innovation thought may spread to the outside of enterprises. Projects that are not suitable for current development can be commercialized via external approach and make the realization of the value. Enterprises strengthen the internal research, emphasize on integration with external knowledge, in order to reduce innovation risk and improve innovation efficiency. The effective selection of open technological innovation mode is important to innovation success. It is the key to enhancement of enterprises’innovation ability and construction of enterprise competitive advantage.This paper makes a comprehensive and in-depth theoretical review on the stakeholders, openning degree, innovation collaboration skills and innovation performance. Based on deep discussion of the origin, characteristics and dynamic mechanism of open technological innovation, this paper proposes that large enterprises’ open technological innovation is the process for enterprises to conduct technological innovation activities with the use of internal and external innovation thoughts, and to realize the commercialization of technical innovation, through internal and external ways. At the same time, with the stakeholders and key elements as the starting point, this paper builds the basic model of large enterprises’ open technological innovation mode. Based on different stakeholder relationships, technological innovation modes can be divided into several types:Firstly, the lateral technological innovation mode, which means competitive enterprises in the same industrial chain link or similar production phase cooperate mutually, share risk and results of open technological innovation mode, in order to obtain common technological innovation;secondly, the longitudinal technological innovation mode, which means members from different links and departments of the same industry chain, cooperate mutually, innovate together, share risk and results. In the process of innovation, various stakeholders, in their own professional advantage, in accordance with the industrial chain division of labor and cooperation, the effective integration of the variety of innovation resources from the upstream and downstream of the industry chain, and with the introduction of f heterogenetic external innovation resources from colleges and universities, scientific research institutions, promote successful innovation and breakthrough of target technology; and thirdly, the mixed mode of technological innovation. It is the mixture of the lateral technological innovation mode and the longitudinal technological innovation mode. In the mixed model of technology innovation, stakeholders include university, scientific research institutions, intermediary organizations and government, as well as partners in both the upstream and downstream of industry chain and peer competitive enterprises.The empirical results show that different open technological innovation modes have quite different effect mechanisms to large enterprises’innovation performance. To large enterprises with lateral and mixed mode of technologcial innovation, opening participation and opening stability are two important factors;To large enterprises with longitudinal mode of technological innovation, opening connection degree and opening stability are two important factors. In these three kinds of open innovation modes, innovation collaborative ability indirectly influences innovation performance. As a result, open technological innovation is of vital importance for large enterprises to improve innovation performance and enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises. In these three open innovation modes, opening stability has positve impact on innovation collaborative ability and innovation performance, which means opening stability is important to the development of large enterprises. In-depth communication in large-enterprise open technological innovation activities contributes to improve innovation collaborative ability, while innovation collaborative ability can better promote the cooperation between large enterprises with many stakeholders in innovation activities and it is easy to realize the common innovation strategy, the consensus of the target and to achieve good innovation efficiency and effectiveness.
