The promotional function of entrepreneurship to the social and economic development, as well as employment, is becoming more and more obvious. Entrepreneurship is an interdisciplinary, multiplayer and complex phenomenon. As an academic field, entrepreneurship research is still at the explanatory stage. For the new entrepreneurs, entrepreneurship opportunities are needed to be sought firstly as entrepreneurship is based on these opportunities. At the initial stage of entrepreneurship, the real commercial opportunities are much more important than the wisdom, talent or the available resources of the teams. In this case, research related to the entrepreneurship opportunities identification has begun to be concerned more and more by the theory and business circles.In the past, entrepreneurship research in the academic field mainly concerned the intention and strategy of entrepreneurs.With the intensification of entrepreneurship research, in recent years, more and more scholars have begun to understand the importance of entrepreneurship opportunities, which is the basis of the entrepreneurship process from identification, development and utilization. For those entrepreneurships which need to be treated initiatively, what on earth are entrepreneurship opportunities? To entrepreneurs, what are these entrepreneurship opportunities composed of? Which factors affect entrepreneurship opportunities? There are not yet clear answers to these questions within the academic field. To get a better understanding about the connotation in terms of the entrepreneurship opportunities of entrepreneurs, reveal the inner factors which affect the identification of entrepreneurship opportunities and better guide the entrepreneurship activities, the author of this dissertation will bring the initiative personality, perceived risk and entrepreneurship self-efficacy in the research framework:on the one hand, the influence of initiative personality on the identification of entrepreneurship opportunities will be revealed; on the other hand, how the entrepreneurship intention formation may be affected by the entrepreneurship opportunities of entrepreneurs under various risk perception and self-efficacy will be described. By means of the two main thread, this research will draw the expected conclusion and reveal the inherent mechanism about the entrepreneurship activity evolution of entrepreneur.The research conclusions are drawn as below. There is three-dimension structure in terms of the entrepreneurship opportunities identification, which are opportunity capability identification, opportunity target identification and opportunity pressure identification.In the process of entrepreneurship opportunities identification, entrepreneurs are mainly affected by the entrepreneurship alertness, priori knowledge and social capita. The initiative personality of entrepreneur has a significant influence on the entrepreneurship opportunities identification. In the influential process of entrepreneurship opportunities identification on the entrepreneurship intention, entrepreneurship self-efficacy can partially play a role as mediator, while the mediating effect played by the perceived risk is insignificant; perceived risk has a strong mediating effect which is achieved completely by entrepreneurship self-efficacy. The conclusion of this research not only makes clear the connotation and influential factors of the entrepreneurship opportunities, but also explores intensively the external factors which make the entrepreneurship opportunities identification have influence on entrepreneurship intention. Additionally, this research not only can be viewed as a mirror and guideline to a certain extent for the entrepreneurship opportunities identification by entrepreneurs, but has significant theoretical value for the entrepreneurship research as well. |
