The completion of a series of new stadiums certainly eased some problems caused by lack of stadiums, however will it bring any practical benefits to the sport development in Macau? Whether these developmens are in pace with the social development simultaneously, and weather the trend is within the international trend, only by rationalizing the questions and clarifying the keys, sport can work in conjunction with the development of economy and society. Therefore, it is necessary to have a systemetical analysis on the functions and values by holding large-scale sports games during the period of rapid development of Macao society. On the basis of the function of sport, it has an analysis of the influence of sport to the Macao society.Large-scale games are not the only choice among different cultural and recreational activaties. While Macau is facing the various internal society problems caused by rapid social development, so how to maintain the economic growth and sustainable development of Macau society is the things that we need to think about. The parallel development of cultural activities and sport activities is very important for the continuous improvement of Macau’s international image. Large-scale Games may not ease or solve those internal society problems at once, but they can fulfill the function of social integration by taking different sectors of society and their characteristics into account. Starting from its own favorable regional conditions and grasping the opportunity of the rapid economic development and the increase of the public’s sport awareness after Games, Macau can improve the sports ecological environment and have mutual cooperation between sport system and social aspects forming a new economic integration with peripheral components to ensure the timely, adequate, effective function to the society.
