Research On Ecological Civilization Construction Of New Socialist Countryside

We are now facing an ecological crisis which is shocking and it is extremely urgent for us to find possible approaches to resolve the crisis. This dissertation attempts to research systematically how rural areas in China protect the ecological environment thus to construct a new socialist countryside ecological civilization. The dissertation is divided into three parts:Introduction, Body and Conclusion.Introductory part first proposes the issue on how to construct a new socialist countryside ecological civilization, which determines a clear object for the research. Then it reviews the research literature on rural issues and ecological environment at home and abroad. Therefore further it explicates the topic of the dissertation and identifies the stating point. And at last specifies innovation points and research methods.The full text of the dissertation is divided into five chapters.The first chapter analyzes the background of construction of new socialist countryside ecological civilization and highlights the significance of its constructing for China to achieve great goals and strategic task of socialist construction. Firstly, the dissertation defines "ecological civilization" and "new rural ecological civilization" meaning, analyzes the difference between the "ecological civilization" and past civilizations, reveals features of the new rural ecological civilization;Secondly, the chapter also illustrates the significance and values of ecological civilization construction for China’s new rural construction and a harmonious society construction.The harmony between man and nature is the whole basis of social harmony.The construction of new socialist countryside ecological civilization has to borrow ecological ideas from excellent civilization achievements of all ages. The second chapter examines the main content of China’s traditional ecological thinking, the Western ecological ethics thought and the Western Ecological Marxism respectively. Through this, objectively evaluates the theoretical defects and elaborates the significance of these theories to the construction of new countryside ecological civilization in our country. This chapter also indicates a solid theoretical basis of the construction of new socialist countryside ecological civilization is Marx’s and Engels’nature theory and ecological ideas. Marx and Engels repeatedly stated the dialectical relationships between man and nature, demonstrating the production of human society can not break away from its objective basis, that is the view of nature——restrict and bound, and pointing out that realizing communism is the only way out of the ecological crisis in capitalist society. Dialectical materialism and historical materialism is the philosophical foundation for ecological theory of Marx’s and Engels’s. China’s new rural ecological civilization construction should be based on Marx’s and Engels’s ecological thinking and adhere to Scientific Development Concept.China’s new rural ecological civilization can not be divorced from the historical perspective。 The third chapter examines the ecological construction status of the theory and practice each stage,sums up the experience, lesson and its enlightenment for ecological civilization construction at this stage.In order to accurately determine the situation of current China’s countryside ecological civilization construction, we carry out a field survey of Hubei QianJiang rural ecological civilization construction and try to combine this case study to point out the exposed flaws in China’s rural ecological civilization construction.The experience and default of Hubei QianJiang rural ecological civilization construction is just a special case of rural China. We can not be separated from the general sense to analyze their current situation and its shortcomings in order to explore the feasibility of measures of new ecological civilization construction in rural areas. Chapter IV also indicates the status of the construction of new countryside and its problems.New rural ecological civilization construction must be carried out, implemented and executed.Chapter V focuses on the main content of the new rural ecological civilization and finds some methods to realize.Firstly,we must improve the level of farmers’ ecological consciousness.We can take various channels to strengthen the cultivation of ecological awareness in rural areas.Secondly, we should implement the ecological agriculture system. Ecological agriculture is benefit to realize sustainable development of agriculture. The dissertation analyzes the principles of the eco-agriculture and demonstrates the specific ways to carry out the eco-agriculture system.Thirdly, Peasants’ consumption must meet the need of ecological law. Govern-ments should pursue some laws and enforce farmers to consume reasonably.Fourthly, we should establish a fair distribution system of ecological goods.To fair distribute ecological goods as common goods accords the principle of social justice.Governments should protect the rights of environment and interests for people in the rural area.Fifthly, a new countryside ecological civilization cannot be realized without the highly effectively participation of people in rural areas. China should create an environmental protection system for inspiring and encouraging people to participate in the environmental protection.Sixthly, agricultural science and technology must been carried out in the countryside. It would help farmers to improve the level of technology and reduce waste resource.Finally, in terms of environmental protection, high-quality farmer is a key factor. Effective measures are necessary to improve their quality.That is the conclusion of this study. We should absorb the excellent ecological thoughts at home and abroad, adhere to the guide of Marxism, and insist on Scientific Development Concept. And we also need to establish all kinds of the social insurance system, adopt with effective measures, and actively build the new socialist countryside ecological civilization.
