In the last two studys, Grade-1pupilsfrom seven township central schools in Dongbei were selected, who had attended thetownship central kindergarten only and had never transferred, and whose earlychildhood education length is not longer than46-month. And the goals of these studysare to explore the the relationship between the early childhood education experience, family characters and the children’s school adjustment in the countryside.Backtracking method, questionnaire method, and peer nomination are used. Theresults are as follows:(1) Early childhood education experience is a predictor of Grade-1children’school adjustment. In the city, students whose early childhood education time is longer, show lessattacking and offensive behaviors, conflicting teacher-student relationships, andproblem behaviors. In the second semester, the Chinesescores of students whose paternal eudcation level is lower and early childhoodeducation length is shorter are higher. From the above, early childhood education experience and family characters havea positive impact on children’s school adjustment in the city and in the countryside.Attention should be paid to improving the quality of kindergarten education and itsinfluence to family education.
