This paper mainly studies Jin Dynasty tombs and can be divided into six parts altogether.The 1st chapter is introduction. I reviewed the history of discoveries and research about Jin Dynasty tombs in the past and divided it into four phases. It is undeniably that the problems in the past research due to imperfection of basic work, first, really too little of dividing region in quantity owing to regardless of characters among tombs of different regions, second, lacking of the necessary analysis about the dates of tombs. Aiming at those problems and faced with the limited research field, I propose my research aims and make some explain about some concept.The 2nd chapter to the 12 th chapter is the principal part of the paper. Jin Dynasty tombs are divided into 10 regions, namely, Northeastern China, central capital of Jin, Datong, Central and Southern Hebei, Shandong, Henan, Central Shanxi, Southern Shanxi, Southeastern Shanxi and Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia area. And those regions can be divided into 26 small regions further. I'll discuss types of tombs, burial objects, dates of tombs, and summarize the character of the small regions. As for some regions, which rich of date and changing all the time, I'll divide those tombs by date.In the 12 th chapter, I summarize the common characters of Jin Dynasty tombs from macro-level and divide them into three big regions. At the same time, I discuss the cultural exchanges among different areas from the point view of tombs from micro-level.In the 13 th chapter, I mainly discuss the five tunes zhao-mu burial in Jin Dynasty tombs based on The New Book of Earth Patterns(Dili Xinshu), a famous book during Song-Jin period. In this chapter, I analyze the different expression of five tunes zhao-mu burial. This burial is used in many places including central China and other areas which once ruled by Liao Dynasty such as Liaoning and Datong.The 14 th chapter is made up of two parts which mainly talking about the brick-chambered tomb. In the first part, I'll discuss the process of building a brick-chambered tomb by three steps including digging pit, stacking and painting. The second part focuses on brick carving tombs in Southern Shanxi. In this part, I'll analyze the made of brick carving, including making models, engraving bricks(fired first and engraved later) and engraving unfired brick(engraved first and fired later).At the last, I'll discuss the commodity property of brick carving and something to be taken notice of when studying the brick-engraved.The 15 th chapter is the conclusion which gives a summary about the gains from this paper.
