Lokaksema's translation of the Astas?hasrik? Praj(?)?p?ramit?,is the most reliable existing scripture of the early Buddhist sutras,which is also the first Chinese translation of the Astas?hasrik? Praj(?)?p?ramit?.The monographic study of its vocabulary and grammar,could attribute to analyzing the basic linguistic feature of Lokaksema's translations and the early Buddhist scriptures,and then,exploring the forming causes of their special language styles.This essay has six chapters.The first chapter,introduction,presents the origin of this subject,research material,research methods,and summarization of the previous study.The second chapter,the vocabulary study of Lokaksema's translation of the Astas?hasrik? Praj(?)?p?ramit?,mainly suggests the high frequency words and commonly used semantic fields,and then compares the referred words with the documents of native Chinese literature to analysis their formation ages.The third chapter,the grammar study of Lokaksema's translation of the Astas?hasrik? Praj(?)?p?ramit?,selects several phenomena of word classes and syntactic structures to make a comprehensive statistical assessment,meanwhile concentrates on the new and special syntax elements.The forth chapter,an analysis of the language components of Lokaksema's translation of the Astas?hasrik? Praj(?)?p?ramit?,analyses the language components derived from translation conversion and newly understood and newly used with examples from the perspective of translation,language contact,and explores its relationship with the target language,the original translated language and the second language acquisition.The fifth chapter,the lexical and grammatical comparison ofLokaksema's translation of the Astas?hasrik? Praj(?)?p?ramit? and its parallel texts,analyses and compares the usage bias of transliterated words and free translated words and interrogative sentence between Lokaksema's translation of the Astas?hasrik? Praj(?)?p?ramit? and other six kinds of parallel Chinese translations,at the same time,tries to comprehend the meaning of the Chinese translation or interpret the reason of the formation of their special language phenomena.The sixth chapter,conclusion,sums up the way Lokaksema's translation of the Astas?hasrik? Praj(?)?p?ramit? as the corpus of ideal and uniqueness,summarizes its language style and the related research methods.From the monographic study of vocabulary and grammar,we try to make use of the comparison with native Chinese literature,parallel sutras,Sanskrit-Chinese comparative analyses and other early Chinese Buddhist translations,summarize the language of the basic features of Lokaksema's translation of the Astas?hasrik? Praj(?)?p?ramit?,spin off the compositions of different properties and its language source,so as to explore the reasons for the formation of its language style,and explore the feasible methods to the research of early Chinese Buddhist translations.
