The development of the Chinese words formation is from monosyllable to disyllabic The disyllable in Chinese vocabulary appeared in the pre-Qin days, but developed extensively during the middle ancient times after the Eastern Han Dynasty. As from the beginning the vocabulary system in Buddhist scriptures of Chinese version occurred in this period showed a clear tendency towards double-syllablization, even polysyllablization, the disyllables in this system were much more than in Chinese native literature vocabulary system and spoken vocabulary system at this time. Undoubtedly, this strongly influenced the development of the disyllables in Chinese vocabulary. Therefore, much attention should be paid to the disyllables in Buddhist scriptures of Chinese version in the study of disyllables.Zhiqian, from Wu Kingdom at Three Kingdoms period, as an alien Buddhist scripture translator, who grew up in China and was proficient at language and literature of China and some countries in Central Asia and the West Regions, was an outstanding figure in the history of Buddhist scriptures of Chinese version. In his translation, the vocabulary from Chinese traditional literature and Buddhist scriptures in East Han Dynasty, and the spoken vocabulary were absorbed. Meanwhile, in order to make the translation understandable by Chinese, he cared for the adaptation of the Buddhist scriptures in Chinese language and culture. As a result, his fluent and vivid translation helped Buddhist scriptures become closer to Chinese and spread to China.
