| Luoyuan dialect is a branch of East Min dialects. This dissertation describes the synchronic grammar of Luoyuan dialect. It is divided into four parts. The Introduction, which is the first part, is a general introduction to Luoyuan County. It also reviews previous studies on Luoyuan dialect. The main body contains six chapters. Chapter One covers phonology and word. Chapter Two and Three are about the phrases. The former discusses noun phrases and the latter predicative phrases. Chapter Four and Five are about sentences. Chapter Four is related to the structure types while Chapter Five concerns the mode types. Chapter Six focuses on the topics. The Epilogue reviews the mighty categories of Luoyuan dialect and summarizes the gain and loss of this study. Finally, the Appendix consists of the homophony syllabary and the index of important words of Luoyuan dialect. |
