A Study Of Duplicated Descriptives In Chinese Language

Duplicated descriptives formed through overlapping exist generally in Chinese dialect,which is an important word-class in Chinese . The article carries on research on the basis of the thing that forefathers 'overlap and click and study to Chinese dialect adjectives only, and choose 15 different dialects in 7 areas of Chinese dialect.We see duplicated descriptive as a word category ,and give the word-class an systematical description of its grammatical function, semantic meaning,and the consistents forming duplicated descriptive.In the first chapter, according to the difference syllable length ,we divided the reduplicant into three types,that is reduplicant of monosyllable, of disyllable and polysyllabic to provide informative materials of duplicated descriptive in the 15 dialects.From this ,we find that in different dialects there are common features and rules in the progress of forming duplicated descriptives,so that all the duplicated descriptive in the 15 dialects can also divided into affixation-added ones and simple duplicated ones.Meanwhile,we discuss these duplicated descriptives region of person who distribute.In the second and third chapters ,we focus on the grammar meaning and grammatical function to discuss the duplicated descriptive respectively.With the combination of description and explanation, the article discusses the functions of all the continents in duplicated descriptives in the second chapter.And in conclusion ,we build a system between duplicated descriptives forms and its semantic meanings.The third chapter deals with the grammatical function of duplicated descriptives and auxiliary words which attached to them as used in sentences ,and chiefly gives a description of the rule that auxiliary words concealing or revealing .The forth section is the conclusion.The article is designed to offer some clues or inspirations to the research of grammar in modern Chinese through the analysis of duplicated descriptive in Chinese dialect.
