Since the 1990s, regional art began to become the object of study. Since enter the 21st century, regional art research gradually warming up, many places have held academic symposiums on the theme of "regional art",and the published research papers and published works are on the rise per year, so that regional art research becomes a dazzling study hotspot.Through the study of regional art research results, we finded that many of the research results of regional art in the writing framework, writing logic, leading thinking, interpretation angle,showing the same pattern. From the analysis of the study paradigm we can be seen that the current study of regional art is imitating the paradigm of Chinese art history research.However, the differences between the study of regional art and the study of Chinese art history are ignored by researchers. Researchers misappropriation of Chinese art history research paradigm showing a lack of awareness of questions and methodologies. At present, regional art research needs to reflection and solve the problem as follows:Whether the "center-edge" local reproduction theory is a reasonable interpretation of the framework?Whether the internal perspective on "Author center" and "Works center" can achieve the purpose of research?Whether the geographical environment determinism of "geography - art" is universal?Whether the reflection of "art - geography" is a reasonable path?The existence of the above problems makes the research results stay in the "what things"(geographical art phenomenon) of the surface description,it has obscured a detailed analysis of"why such a place"(regional art image).The result is that many of the research results either become a "introduction and address books of local artists",or become a "art compilationes of local artists and theirs works", the historical situation, evolutionary trajectory of regional art image and its difference with the image of Chinese art has not noticed.In view of the above situation, the limitation of the current research results of regional art is the starting point of this thesis.Thus, the research ideas and methods of this paper are through the analysis of regional art research text and absorbing the achievements of modern humanities and social sciences, to expanding the methodology of art research. Through the geographical art placed in the geographical and exchange the external space; the Interaction between artistic Creation and"Consciousness of Regional Consciousness"; the mutual shape between art creation and regional cultural image, , etc., to explore at different levels is our aims. On the other hand ,strive to construct a more three-dimensional regional art research methodology to Rooted in the current Chinese culture construction context and subject matter consciousness, and apply the method to Shandong art research, to test the rationality of the method is our purpose.The content of the paper is divided into two parts. The first part is the methodological analysis of regional art research. The second part is relying on methodology to analysis of specific regional art objects, the aim is to integrate methods and phenomena, and the core target is to shape the method of regional art research.The chapters are arranged as follows:In the introductory, we have cleared the beginning of the regional art research and trends,revealed the research perspective, leading thinking, research methods and research progress,defined the core concept of regional art researchThe first chapter to the third chapter is the first part of this article, we have reflection on the paradigm of regional arts, analyze the theory, shaped a new research method. The second chapter is based on the paradigm limitation of regional art research,to explore and try on the research method. Based on the "space turned" since the social theoretical resources, and relied on the spatial discourse of Bourdieu, Foucault and Lefebvre, we try to explain the research methods and to demonstrating the characteristics of the method and the transcendence of research methods which has existed. The third chapter we discussed the logical level and the specific path of regional art in space view.Chapter four to Chapter eight are the second part of the paper.it is that the research of Shandong art in the view of space. The fourth chapter mainly analyzes the geographical features,geographical symbols and cultural geography characteristics of Shandong art which at the geographical level. The fifth chapter we have analyzed the characteristics of Shandong art image from 1949 to 1979. The sixth chapter we discussed the image of Shandong art in the 1980s. Chapter, and front side the seven chapter we have analyzed the characteristics of Shandong art image from 1990 to 2010.As a conclusion, we have summarized the purpose, research ideas and research conclusions of this paper. Regional art research imitates the study of Chinese art history,obscuring the unique problem of regional art research, so we need to rebuild new research methods to break through the limitations. As a case study of Shandong art,its image shaping process almost synchronized with Chinese art.
