Since the TV drama The Wasted Time was broadcasted in 1982, the educated youth drama as a unique style of TV drama continues to today. Different from other genres of TV drama,,the educated youth drama has become a kind of "cultural complex",mixing with political reflection, collective memory, historical evaluation and so on because it was subjected to both the popularity of TV media and the particularity of the topic of "educated youth". As a result of this,the art evolution of the educated youth drama could be regarded as a process of "multiple factors' force",which including the contest of different discourse,such as creative concepts, aesthetic tendencies, historical context, ideology and so on. This paper summarized the artistic features of the educated youth drama in different period by combing their diachronic process of art evolution . At the same time, by unearthing the influencing factors of its art evolution, the pater analyzed the inner connection and interactive mechanism between the TV drama and the social reality from the "TV" to the "reality" and then to the "ideology".The paper is divided into five chapters, the first four chapters were organized with the diachronic structure, and analyzed the artistic characteristics of the educated youth drama. In the process of periodization, this paper mainly referred to the representative works which had a broad societal impact, and took the background of the of political and cultural context and literary trend with different periods.The history of art evolution was divided into four stages: "The Tragic Catharsis in'Post-Cultural Revolution' Times(1984-1993)","The Calm Reflection in the Context of New Historicism(1994-2003)","The Dramatic Subversion with Postmodern(2004-2008)" and "The Rise of New Realism and Transformation into Mainstream(2009-2016)". In the following parts,elaborates and interprets of the artistic features of each stage ,such as the theme-inclination, the characterization, the audio-visual style and the narrative technique were discussed. The fifth chapter is based on the integration of the first four chapters, and mainly discussed the internal developing rules and the external logic of the art evolution of educated youth drama. The internal developing rules makes a research from three respects : the shifting between"suffering expression" and "heroic writing", the competing of historical reality and artistic reality, the chosing of genre and anti- genre.The external logic mainly discussed the intertextuality between educated youth drama and other educated youth cultural forms, the hysteresis from educated youth drama to the literary thoughts, the inheritance and complementarity to the collective memory of educated youth group.
