The study on the history of Shanxi dialects is closely related to that of the northwestern dialect of the Tang and Five Dynasties and the Song Dynasty,Modern Shanxi dialect is the result of the direct development of the dialect of the Tang and Five Dynasties and the Song Dynasty.A lot of ancient literature can be used for the study of Shanxi dialects' history. In addition to the rhyming reference work and extraterritorial transliteration,a large number of ancient poetry rhymes are valuable materials for our study of Shanxi dialects' history. This dissertation selects the rhyme of Shanxi poets' in the Tang Dynasty as the study object, using the description, categories analysis, mathematical statistics and comparison,to analyze 3556 poems and 4210 rhymes of 127 poets of Shanxi. This paper through sums up the rhyme system of Shanxi poets in the Tang Dynasty, then summarizes three regular pattern of phonetic evolution of the common language. This paper discusses the phonetic nature of the special rhyme in the rhyme of Shanxi poets in the Tang Dynasty,to explore the close relationship between the actual speech in Shanxi dialects and the northwestern dialect in the Tang Dynasty. The study can enrich the study of the phonological history of the Tang dynasty and provide factual basis for the research of Shanxi dialect' history from the angle of rhyme. This article summarizes 29 rhyme groups in modern-style poetry of Shanxi poets in the Tang Dynasty, including 13 rhyme groups with an open ending,15 rhyme groups with a nasal ending and 1rhyme group with a stop ending. It summarizes 31 rhyme groups in ancient poetry, including 9 rhyme groups with an open ending,15 rhyme groups with a nasal ending and 9 rhyme groups with a stop ending. The rhyme of Shanxi poets in the Tang Dynasty was consistent with the common language of the Tang Dynasty. The rhyme of poets of Shanxi province in the Tang Dynasty shows 3important common language changes:1.The Jia(?)group of‘GuangYun'(??)rhyme on Ma(?)group,forming‘Ma(?)Jia(?)group'.2.The rhyme of Qi(?)Ji(?)group and Zhi(?)Zhi(?)Zhi(?)group. The change mainly occurred in the rhyme of the poets'in late Tang Dynasty. The proportion of the rhyme was not large, and there was a combining trend, but did not reach the degree of consisitence.3.The rhyme of some labials of YouHou(??)group and YuMu(??),The evolution of the phonological process in Shanxi in the Tang Dynasty was relatively slow.Through the analysis of the voiced rising tone character in Shanxi poet rhyme in the Tang Dynasty, found the beginning of rising tone of the sinigrams with voiced initials become departing tone, but a considerable part of the voiced characters with the rising tone is still in the evolution process. The article also makes the corresponding analysis on the phenomenon of the rhyming of even tone and rising tone as well as the rhyming of departing tone and entering tone. The article detailed analysis of the mix rhyming of Shanxi poets' in the Tang Dynasty. The mix rhyming in the rhyme with an open ending including Ge(?)Ge(?)group and Ma(?)Jia(?)group?Ge(?)Ge(?)group and Yu(?)Mu(?)group?Ma(?)Jia(?)group and Yu(?)Mu(?)group and Zhi(?)Wei(?)group and Yu(?)Mu(?)group; The mix rhyming in the rhyme with a nasal ending including the same syllabic ending, such as Tan(?)Yan(?)group and Qin(?)Xun(?)group,Han(?)Huan(?)group?Shan(?)Shan(?)group?Xian(?)Xian(?)group Wen(?)Fen(?)group and Yuan(?)Hun(?)group,Zheng(?)Deng(?)group and Geng(?)Qing(?)group,Jiang(?)Shuang(?)group and Dong(?)Zhong(?)group,Yang(?)Tang(?)group and Dong(?)Zhong(?)group, and the different syllabic ending, such as Qin(?)Xun(?)group and Zheng(?)Deng(?)group,Qin(?)Xun(?)group and Geng(?)Qing(?)group,Wen(?)Fen(?)group and Zheng(?)Deng(?)group; The mix rhyming in the rhyme with a stop ending including the same syllabic ending, such as Zhi(?)De(?)group and Mo(?)Xi(?)group,Yao(?)Duo(?)group and Jue(?)Xue(?)group,Xia(?)Ye(?)group and Qi(?)Yi(?)group,Zhi(?)De(?)group and Yao(?)Duo(?)group, and the different syllabic ending. The mix rhyming also includes the rhyme with an open ending rhyme on the rhyme with a nasal ending. All above these have been corroborated in the study of the northwestern dialect of the Tang and Five Dynasties, which used minority materials of transcriptions between languages of,such as Chinese transcriptions of the old Tibetan words,Chinese transcriptions of the Xixia words. We believe that remove the rhyme of imitating ancient and accidental use,the mixing rhyme should reflect the dialect of Tang Dynasty Shanxi.Overall, the rhymes of Shanxi poets in the Tang Dynasty were based on the common language, but still can reflect the actual language conditionThe article also lists and analyzes some special rhyming words in Shanxi poets in the Tang Dynasty. These rhyming words reflect the actual phonetic changes, which is an important reference for the future study of the phonetic of the Tang dynasty.
