Digital technology is affecting media and art deeply.Image art can get new artistic expression in digital environment and become a kind of media language that can communicate and interact.The intersection,amalgamation,extension and innovation of Image art encourage opening new ways in art research,discovering new laws of the relationship between text and context,and looking for the new aesthetic logic.The thesis studies the image art from the view of media and transmission to discover the universality and individuality of image art from the history,and to discuss the transition of the aesthetic and expression of image art from the view of technology,media,art and audiences.In Chapter one,it discusses the media function of image art and the evolution process of media,from absence to presence.And it also discusses the influence of the law of media communication on image Art.In Chapter two,it studies the relationship between digital technology and mass culture to discuss the traditional image’s reform influenced by the digital technology,and the deep amalgamation of image art and media communication.In Chapter three,it discusses the participation and interaction of image art in the digital virtual environment,and its extension to other art fields from the view of the application of new digital technology in image art expression.In Chapter four,it discusses the transition of aesthetic space and aesthetic psychology of image art in the digital virtual environment,and the new relationship of aesthetic and consumption in image art from the view of audiences.The first is the change from the controlled spirit aesthetic to diversified aesthetic behavior like relaxation and discharge.And the second is the change from the pure aesthetic to the interconnection of aesthetic and consumption.
