Yue Ling in the Book of Rites is the important component of Confucian Classics,which combines Yinyang-Wuxing theory and follows natural rhyme,records knowledge on astronomy and geography,daily living of emperor,sacrifice ceremonies,administrative actions and common people's daily life.It provides basis and reference for the emperor to n country according to God's will.Yue Ling was endowed with new status,identity and function,and had a great influence on state system,administrative operation,social management and people's daily life,because it escalated from Words of Hundred Schools of Thought to Confucian Classics during the Qin and Han dynasties.On the basis of widely absorbing previous research achievements,over a lengthy period of time,we can get a deeper understanding on Yue Ling and histories of the Qin and Han dynasties through exploring the content structure and core idea,vicissitude in status,evolution of functi on and expansion of influence of Yue Ling during the Qin and Han dynasties.The formation of Yue Ling is a historical process.Relative descriptions and designs can be found in The Xia Xiaozheng,the Book of Songs,Yi Zhou Shu,Chu Silk Manuscript,Guanzi and other literatures,and there are lots of seasonal specifications in the pre-Qin period.On the basis,Yue Ling was written in the Late Warring Period.It reveals the mechanism,medium and route of interactions between God's will and emperor from diferent aspects,and it reveals the possibility and necessity of God's will and emperor agreeing with each other.Yue Ling provides systemic theoretical and classical foundations for emperor to govern country according to God's will.The Yue Ling has important inspiration and reference to emperor.The Qin and early Han dynasty follow the granting land system of the Warring States Period,manage people's lives according to seasons,and realization of social rhythm corresponding with natural rhythm preferably.But Emperor Liu Che' attention wan focusing on communication between his own rule and the God's will,so he improved the system of court academician,and worshipped the Confucianism alone.Dai Sheng,the doctor of the Rites,made Yue Ling becoming a part of Classics,because it was adopted into the Book of Rites of Xiao Dai around the time of Emperor Liu Xun.Under the background of running country with Confucian classics,the emperors carried out the reformation of administration,ritual and law according to Yue Ling in order to agree with God's will.But meanwhile,Yue Ling was estranging from the specific aspects of daily production and life.Si Min Yue Ling inherited the style and theory of Yue Ling in a large part,but is different in its narrated object,purposes and ranges.The similarities and differences between Si Min Yue Ling and Yue Ling show that,with the changes of the system of Land,social structure and personal attachment relationship,the ability of government to organized social production and life had been weakened,which made local patriarchal clan become the administrator instead of government.They organized social production,business and cultural education,and shouldered partial responsibility of basic level government.And Si Min Yue Ling also reflected that Yue Ling has been introduced into common people's daily lives.So,we can say that Si Min Yue Ling show the situation of Yue Ling knew and used in daily life of local social.By the change of Si Min Yue Ling,“Sui Shi Ji” have emerged,that means the whole society obey natural rhythm independently,and Yue Ling became common sense,finally condensed into the essence of our national culture.
