Researching On Contemporary Western Thoughts Of Eco-Democracy

"Ecology" was originally a biological concept, "democracy" is typically a political concept. Seen from the surface, there is no direct link between ecology and democracy. If we scrutinize on the phenomenon of environmental decision-making and governance act in the mid-industry, we find that the ecological nature and democracy issues are closely linked. In fact, everyday there are no grass-roots participation in the democratic life of urban and rural environmental pollution problems caused by government policy. As the result of political corruption scores of problem rendered,such as types of forests cut-down problems, the wanton development of rural land issues, the rapid reduction of cultivated land of farmers, crop composition of wanton pollution, industrial waste gas row issue, civil disorder of the depth of water pollution, waste residue accumulation, excessive vehicle exhaust released by traffic jam, public health worsening, and so on. Generally said, it is the political anti-ecological actions that led our own biological properties and survival environment gambling predicament. As an interdisciplinary ecology and political science, ecological thoughts of democratic attempts to go building an entirely new operating mechanism of ecological democracy beyond the traditional "liberal democratic paradigm".This paper is divided into front and five chapters, each section as follows.Preface discusses the contemporary western ecological research on democratic ideas based on environmental significance, framework and structure of the essay, required researching methods, the major innovations of discussion. In the last part of the frontier, this paper first defines the basic concepts of this study, because there is no reasonable definition there is no scientific study.
