Generally speaking, modern university has the function of talent cultivation, scientific research, social service and cultural inheritance and innovation. However, in the present university, the function of university appears different degree of disorder, alienation and narrowing. The University-was caused by many scholars and experts, as well as criticism of the community, is experiencing a crisis.In order to sort out these crisis phenomena thoroughly and analyze its essence, to find out the reasons of university cultural crisis and explore the way out of crisis, this study, by using sociological positivism method, specifically selected Durkheim's causal explanation, With the study of "the nature of university crisis is the university culture crisis" hypothesis, follow the "why university crisis is the culture crisis"-"What are the typical phenomena of the university culture crisis?"-"What causes the current university culture crisis in our country to appear"-"the possible way out of the current university culture crisis in our country ". Answer these four questions in turn. Which constitutes the basic framework of this study. Specifically, the following six chapters to be carried out:The first chapter focuses on the overall design of the study, mainly related to the following aspects:1. Why study the university culture crisis? 2. What is the research value and significance of university culture crisis? 3. What are the assumptions and innovation? 4. How to study the university culture crisis in China, mainly related to the research object, research content, research methods and research ideas elaborated.The second chapter mainly focuses on the cultural studies of Chinese and western universities, mainly related to the study of western university culture, the review of the current situation of university culture research in China and the differences of cultural studies between Chinese and western universities. Its main purpose is to find out the cultural hot spots, difficulties and blind spots of Chinese and western universities in order to echo the previous research hypothesis and research innovation.The third chapter is the response to the typical phenomenon of university culture crisis in China. Based on the "typical phenomenological theory", taking 985 and 211 universities in China as the main samples, the paper analyzes the phenomenon of Chinese university culture crisis in the past 20 years (1998-2015). According to the external economic, political and cultural impact of the current university, three corresponding typical phenomena are found, namely "university administration", "university commercialization" and "university secularization". In the three forces of erosion and destruction, the University itself began academic utility, and ultimately the formation of the University of convergence.The fourth chapter explains the reason why the university culture appears the crisis in our country at present. This chapter uses positivist sociological methods to explain the causes of the current university culture crisis in China. University cultural crisis is the result of multi-factor interaction, and some factors are mutual cause and effect, because of fruit, fruit in the relationship. In this study, Durkheim's causal interpretation of the covariant method, with a lot of data, facts, cases and reports and other fresh data on the University Cultural Crisis of the factors analyzed and judged, and ultimately found the University Cultural Crisis Covariant factor.The fifth chapter answers the way out of the university culture crisis. That is, to reconstruct the university culture system to answer the university cultural crisis relief policy:the reconstruction of university cultural value system should grasp the three connotations; the reconstruction of university culture value system should be implemented to the three major groups; the reconstruction of university cultural value system should also grasp a number of in principle.The last chapter reflects on the research conclusion and research methods.Overall, this research is innovative in the following aspects:From the research point of view, few people study the university cultural crisis big articles. This research takes the university culture research crisis as the research content, and it is an innovation in the current university culture research direction.From the point of view of research methods, the current research on university culture is mainly based on cultural and anthropological research paradigms, almost no one with positivist sociological methods to carry out university culture research.From a research point of view, from the perspective of sociology to study the academic articles exist sporadic, though not many, but also involved. In general, however, researchers have not used the sociology of causal explanation theory, the choice of covariant method of university culture crisis has been studied.
