Comparing with the hereditary politics in the Eastern Jin Dynasty,the control of the Southern Dynasty imperial power had been strengthened.In the process of strengthening the imperial power,the state-led educational activities played a positive role,meanwhile,it strengthened the impact of literary activities during its own development.This dissertation is concerned with how the national education in the Southern Dynasty develops itself and cooperates with political needs to achieve the integration of literary activities.The body contains four parts.The first part mainly discusses the basic national education system in the Southern Dynasty.Which national education was got more emphasis than before.In the aspect of establishing educational institutions,it broke through the single education pattern coring Taixue and Guozixue since the Eastern and Western Han Dynasties.The private education had got fast development during this Dynasty and appeared the private institutions,like Sixue and Wuguan,which adopted the way of private operation government support.Thus it expanded effectively the size of education.The reform also embodied in the teaching content,instead of the study of Confucian classics only,the specific education was introduced,like the Confucianism,Metaphysics,Literary,History,Yinyang and Melody.Meanwhile,pragmatism was advocated.So the power of hereditary families were weakened.In the integration of national education system and literary activities,basing on the capital city,he national education made the writer's regional distribution present the clustering characteristics with the capital as the center.In addition,the role of education in the national election was becoming stronger and stronger,with the rising trend of the poor class,and the development of intellectual group centering on politics and power,the literary group got gradual increase and drove the development of literature in the Southern Dynasty.In addition,the state control of literary value orientation has gradually increased.Committing literary crime or death has become an important reason for the scholar's abnormal life track changes.The second part sorts out the contents of national education in the Southern Dynasty,summarizes its characteristics,and discusses its integration with the literary theory.Despite of the diversity trend in the national education,the core teaching content were still the Confucian classics.At the same time metaphysics still occupied an important position in national education as a tradition since the Wei and Jin Dynasties.In addition,in order to gain dominance in the ideological contests of the Northern and Southern Dynasties,the rulers of the Southern Dynasty generally worshiped Taoism and Buddhism.Religious factors influenced the national education,especially Buddhism.What is more,with the strengthening of literary,literature education has also been developed with the purpose of rhetoric.Through the standardization of these educational content,national education integrated and led the development of literature at that time.As a result,sprang up a large number of literary works and collections with the basic idea of ZhengSheng Zongjing in the Southern Dynasty.The state has established a literary model,with the purpose to use literature serving the construction of national ideology,shaping and maintaining the national image.The third part focuses on the impact of national educational methods on literary activities.The national education methods were inherited from the history,mainly included appreciation,recitation,imitation and Biannan.Appreciation method applied in groups sharing mutual interest,focusing on enhancing the confidence of the appreciated.It plays a positive role in the development of literature group operation and the spread of literature,Recitation method focused on memorization and recitation,it promoted the Lishi,Zhengshi,Yongdian in literature.Also,in had influence in the development of literature Leishu.Meanwhile,as the demand for Sound and Voice in recitation,this method also boosted the development of phonology in the Southern Dynasty literature,The imitation method emphasized the imitation and follow of the classics,which led to the formation of the stylistic paradigm and the strengthening of the literature techniques.Also,it promoted the development of stylistic formalization,brought the positive impact on the early wisdom of literature,The Biannan method was based on questions and answers.Combining withmetaphysics,it has somewhat influence on emphasizing rhetoric in literature.At the same time,as a style,Nan got further development.The fourth part reflects the Southern Dynasty's national education mainly from the literary point of view.It is believed that the reflection of the literature of the Southern Dynasty on the national education was mainly manifested in two levels.First,it was the record of national educational activities,which was mainly about bustling educational institutions and advocating literature.The second was the presentation and advocacy of the state education.Emperor-commanded literature and pop literature were the representatives,aiming at promoting loyalty,filial piety,unified political ideals.The study argues that the literary activities of the Southern Dynasties are closely related to the political demands of the national unity,and have a clear tendency to meritorious service.This dissertation focuses on the integration of national education and literary.Besides,it analyses some problems,like the establishing time of Xiaoliang Five Institutions,the connotation of Taixue,Guoxue,Guozixue and Guozitaixue;the function of Jiya Institution and the early wisdom in literature during this dynasty.What is more,it gives pedagogic interpretation for some controversial question,like Peiziye engaged in court literature practice instead of traditional literature he advocated initially.
