Research On The Geographical Distribution Of The Academies In The Southern Song Dynasty

The academy is a unique educational organization in the ancient society of China,has played an important role in the inheritance and development of culture in Southern Song Dynasty.As a cultural prosperity,it is to promote the development of academy and the Northern Song Dynasty reached its peak stage.Compared with the significant growth in the number of academies in this period,and formed a certain geographical distribution pattern.From the perspective of historical geography,through the South Song combing,analysis of the characteristics and reasons of its geographical distribution,and explains its influence.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part is the South Song overview.This chapter includes two parts,one is the introduction before the Southern Song Dynasty,including the emergence of the Tang Dynasty academy,the development period of the Five Dynasties and the Northern Song Dynasty.The other is the South Song overview,including lectures,teaching content,management system,building regulations,and the geographical distribution pattern of the Southern Song Dynasty academy.The second part is the features of the geographical distribution of the Southern Song Dynasty's Academy.After analyzing the visible,the geographical distribution of Southern Song Dynasty academy has three main features: the imbalance of distribution,which varies greatly the number of local academies.Expansion of the region,South Song on the region,the distribution range of the county expanded significantly,and the distribution of the number of compared with the former increased significantly.The relevance of the official education,through comparing with the distribution of schools,the college and the distribution of official education is positively related.The third part is the reason of the geographical distribution of the South Song.The first reason is the formation of the geographical distribution of the location of the college environment choice,college usually located in the quiet place.The second reason is the impact of College layout of regional economic level,the region of economic development better has more Academies.The third reason is scientific educationactivities about the rationalistic Confucianists,such as Zhu Xi,Zhang Shi,promotion activities frequently,the distribution is more intensive;the last reason is the historical Academy of the South Song's geographical distribution.This not only affects the overall distribution of the Southern Song Dynasty Academy,but also on the number of Academies plays a certain role.The last part is the influence of geographical distribution of the South Song.Based on the general view of South Song geographical distribution pattern on the analysis of the actual impact of South Song.Influence of geographical distribution mainly in the diffusion region in promoting education and promote the two aspects of communication and exchange between different cultural region.Through the above discussion,it can be concluded that the geographical distribution of South Song shows the trend of expansion and imbalance.Besides,Academy is closely linked with the development of the official school.This is no doubt that the local education than before has a huge development.And we can learn the developed economic perspective and culture of the Southern Song Dynasty.
