During the period of the southern song dynasty,the society was in turmoil and everything was in ruins.Under the tide of the revival of Confucianism,neo-confucianism came into being.It integrates the essence of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism,and develops in an integrated way with the academy,laying a solid foundation for its discourse power in social edification in both theory and practice.In addition,the development of academies in the southern song dynasty also went through twists and turns,with jiading as the boundary,and their positions in the social edification system were different.In the early and middle period of the southern song dynasty,due to the lack of official recognition and the limitation of its own development,academy was in a marginal position in the whole social edification system and its social edification was more in line with the daily life of the general public.In the later period of the southern song dynasty,the academy was officially recognized as the center of the social edification system,but its social edification was more controlled by the government and became a part of the official school.Neo-confucianism is the reconstruction of moral metaphysics,which not only discusses the origin of the world,but also discusses the moral practice in the world.Therefore,the southern song academy propagates neo-confucianism through a variety of ways,and carries out social edification in front of the broad masses of the society inside and outside the academy,including the formulation of regulations,original source;Teachpreach,and be good neighbors;Sacrifice to the master of neo-confucianism,inherit everyone's spirit;Collect,publish and print books to civilize the countryside,which played a good social civilizing effect.Through the academy of the southern song dynasty made outstanding contributions to the social reconstruction program at that time,we can summarize its unique experience of social edification,including preaching by reason and highlighting the purpose of social edification.The government should help the people,improve the social edification and education in life,and enhance the continuity of social edification.The past can not be remonstrated,the successor can still be pursued.In terms of social edification,the academy of the southern song dynasty has provided enlightenment to the current education in many aspects.In the current pluralistic society,education needs to implement the social mainstream consciousness,under its guidance,pay attention to the improvement of personal morality,and form a joint force of education through the benign interaction between "family,school and society",so as to ultimately improve the educational effect.
