Study On The Coordinated Development Path Of Border Cities In China Based On Man-land Relationship Perspective

Border cities are the main population concentration areas and important economic agglomeration areas in the border areas,which are of special strategic significance in maintaining the stability of the border and promoting the sustainable development of the border areas.In the perspective of man-land relationship,based on theory and mechanism analysis of coordinated development,this paper established an evaluation system of the coordinated development level of border cities by using the method of system evaluation model and the GIS spatial analysis.And through empirical study,the paper puts forward some suggestions for the coordinated development of twenty-one Chinese border cities.The creative innovation the paper has achieved are as following aspects:(1)This paper puts forward holistic and systematic is the key to realize coordinated development,and the factors that influence the coordinated development are summarized into two subsystems: the basis of development and the level of development.It is considered that both the two subsystems interact and coordinate with each other and the element of the subsystem are well matched and coordinated are the core of the coordinated development of the city.The propose of this view is an important progress for the current fragmented research.(2)Based upon the above theoretical analysis,this paper uses the "density,segmentation,distance" three-dimensional analysis,man-land relationship,"five development concepts" and the system theory framework to construct an evaluation system of coordinated development of border cities with three quantitative evaluation and one qualitative evaluation,which is based on "the overall characteristics of development,the basis of development,the level of development,the identification of coordinated development type".And enriching the study of the coordinated development of the border city which with multidisciplinary background.(3)Based on the evaluation system of coordinated development,the paper empirically studies the overall development characteristics,development base,development level and coordinated development types of China's border cities,and puts forward the coordinated development path of differentiation.The empirical analysis about the overall characteristics of the development of border cities shows that the overall development of border cities faces three challenges of "density,segmentation and distance".The comprehensive ratio between the three dimensions and the whole country is 0.62.Among them,the density dimension is the biggest difference from the national average;The basic development evaluation of border cities shows that about 80% area of the border city is transitional region of critical suitable and general suitable human settlements.The guarantee degree of water and soil resource in border cities is high and it is not the restrictive factors of its development,but the regional difference is obvious.From 2005 to 2014,the social development index of the border cities were about 90% of the national average,so the social development foundation of them are weak.And the development foundation of border cities can be divided into three types.The empirical study on development level measurement of border cities shows that the structure of the development quality of the border city is like a “spindle” with a large portion of middle development quality in the middle and a small portion of high and low development quality at both ends.And there is a strong consistency between the spatial distribution pattern and the urbanization level.The comprehensive development level of border cities at different levels is increasing from 2005 to 2014.Different development levels of border cities have different evolution characteristics in the five aspects.According to the coordination between the development of basic type and development level,this paper divide border cities into three basic types.It is consider that replacing the development space with moderate population concentration and appropriate evacuation is the long-term choice to promote the coordinated development of man-land relationship.Through the backtracking of indicators,the coordinated development of differentiation path to the different types of border cities is proposed.
