Electric vehicles(EVs)have been gaining intensive attention by governments, automobile industries, power grid companies, and academic researchers because EVs have advantages on the aspects of energy saving, environmental protection and can be used to deal with the energy crisis and climate change.Based on the carding and induction of the recent relevant literature on the applications of the EV production strategy and EV battery recycling mode in detail, this dissertation regards the different adoptions of EV in different regions as a starting point, applies the spatial econometric models to investigate the serial correlations and spatial dependencies among different brands of pure EV sales in China.Subsequently, the dissertation discusses the topics on the optimal EV production strategy considering loss aversion, government subsidies and EV battery recycling, and the optimal EV battery recycling mode under collection responsibility sharing, respectively.Specifically, the main innovative research of the dissertation is summarized as the following three aspects. The dissertation empirically investigates the serial correlations and spatial dependencies among ten China's brands of pure EV sales using spatial econometric models.Based on the newly proposed economic distance spatial weight matrix using an adaptive kernel bandwidth approach, the dissertation discusses the influences of EV endurance mileage, power battery energy, charging time, government subsidies,EV retail price, and each market share on EV sales. The dissertation further analyzes the impacts of the per capita disposable income of urban households, the medium and long-term loan interest rates and the gasoline price on the sales of pure EVs.Then, from the perspective of the prediction function of the spatial econometric model, the dissertation predicts the different brands of pure EV sales in-sample and out-sample to test the accuracy and robustness of the proposed model parameters, and to provide reference for EV manufacturer's production and marketing decision.By extending the previous loss-averse newsvendor model considering EV battery recycling and government subsidies, the dissertation investigates an EV manufacturer's optimal production strategy.Specifically, the dissertation futher explores the impacts of battery recycling, government subsidies and loss aversion on the EV manufacturer's optimal production strategy.Based on considering multiple repurposing choices of the used EV batteries and an alternative subsidy mechanism, the dissertation further extends the proposed models and discusses the influences of consumer subsidy mechanism and cost subsidy mechanism on the EV manufacturer's optimal production strategy and maximum expected utility.Finanlly, the dissertation puts forward the relevant reasonable decision-making recommendations for the EV manufacturers, consumers and policy makers according to our findings. The dissertation explores the choices of the used EV batteries' reverse channels considering the used EV batteries' condition and the service level of the EV manufacturers based on the EV recycling responsibility sharing mechanism in a closed-loop supply chain, which is composed of an EV manufacturer and an EV retailer. The dissertation discusses the selection problems of centralized mode, decentralized model and recycling responsibility sharing mode by game analysis and numerical simulations. At the same time, the EV retailer's sharing rate of investment cost spent by the EV manufacturer for recycling the used electric vehicle batteries is obtained by the theoretical analysis, and the influences of the related parameters are explored.
