A large number of studies and cases have proved that the direct cause of coal accidents is man's unsafe behavior, whose basic reason is psychic disorders. In the coal production process, the vast majority of workers are engaged in underground production.Poor working enviroment and many potential risk factors can negatively impact on the mental health of coal miners and increase the incidence of unsafe behavior, which finally lead to accident. Therefore, improving coal miners' mental health and controlling unsafe behavior is the key to ensure the safe of coal production. In this dissertation, research was conducted to anlyze the change trend of coal miners' mental health and develop the SCL-90 norm of coal miners based on literature data;taking underground coal miners in Hunchun mining, the applicability of coal miners' SCL-90 norm was verified, the influence mechanism of personal characteristics, social support status, coping styles and life events status on coal miners' mental health was systematically analyzed. The change trend of coal miners' mental health was anylzed by collecting SCL-90 data of coal miners from 2007 to 2014,and found that the coal miners' mental health level was improved steadily year by year in this period;the SCL-90 data of coal miners in this period were used as the raw data to contruct the coal miners SCL-90 norm. The comparison of value and sample between the coal miner SCL-90 norm and the old norms,it was found that the old norms were unsuited to be a reference to interpret the SCL-90 results of coal miners, because the old norms were lack of sample's representation and timeliness. Therefore, the coal miner SCL-90 norm can be the reference to interpret the SCL-90 results of coal miners. The SCL-90 test was carried out on the underground coal miners in Hunchun mining, and the coal miners' SCL-90 test results of different characteristics wers compared.Compared the average score of SCL-90 test results with the coal miner SCL-90 norm,it was found that the coal miner SCL-90 norm can reflect the general state of coal miners' mental health and can be the reference to evaluate the mental health of coal miners. The research tested 476 coal miners in Hunchun mining limited by quet ionnaire survey. It discussed the mediating effect of social support and coping styles between life events and mental health, systematically anlyzed the influence effect of personal characteristics, social support, coping styles and life events to coal min ers' mental health. This research showed that the socail support level of coal miners is lower than middle, positive coping style was the main way to face event stress, the life events stimulating quantity in a year was more than general people, and mainly came from negative family life events;the social support had significant positive correlation with positive coping style and mental health, significant negative correlation with life events, negative coping style had significant negative correlation with mental health, and positive correlation with life events, the life events had significant negative correlation with mental health;the social support and coping styles played completely midiating role between life events and mental health;the main factor s of coal miners' mental health were injury, alcoholism, household income of 100,000 or greater, the total scores of social support and negative coping style, and the negative coping style had the greatest effect on mental health(B'=0.458).Based on the above conclusions, the suggestions and measures were proposed.
