As one of the basic methods which put two blocks of metals together,welding is a key link of modern industry,it is widely used in shipbuilding,car production and aerospace and other fields.Currently,welding technology has gradually transferred from traditional technique to science,this kind of change puts higher requirements for the overall welding skills of the welders.However,because traditional welding trainings are restricted by the dangerous environments,the instructors cannot timely control the move specifications of the new welders during the training process.Therefore,seeking for a safe,high efficient and low energy-consuming new welding training method is the urgent requirement of the society.Welding operation stimulated system is an practical research field which integrates physics,mechanics,math and computer science and other multiple subjects,though it is still is the staring stage of the research and development,it has expressed wide application prospect in the training for welders.This paper takes modern virtual reality technology as the guidance,takes widely used carbon dioxide gas protection welding,shielded metal arc welding and argon arc welding as the objects,comprehensively use computer graphics,software engineering,modern sensor and measurement and control technology,fluid dynamics,welding operation training,ergonomics and many other knowledge of subjects,to deeply research the key technology of welding operation stimulated practice system based on virtual reality.Firstly,the overall frame of new generation welding virtual reality system is researched,and separately offers basis for the construction of welding virtual reality from system function positioning,construction principles,integrated feasibility analysis and space positioning,and finally generates the overall frame of the system.Secondly,the design and realizing problems of visual tracking algorithm is researched,and combined with practical conditions of his project,it puts forward a kind of multiple objective detection and tracking algorithm based on monocular vision.Based on the objective frame detection algorithm of the worm model,this algorithm revises the move rules of worms,which can shorten the time of the objective frame detection,and increase the stability of the objective frame detection.The algorithm contains downhill simplex optimization algorithm,which can optimize the spherical target location under the condition that the spherical imaging is partially blocked,in order to meet the interaction requirements of customers during the practical operation process.Thirdly,the welding joint formation stimulation method of the current stage is researched,and regarding the long calculation time and no fluid kinesthesia and other problems during the welding joint formation stimulation process,it puts forward a kind of welding joint formation stimulation method based on smoothed particle hydrodynamics.This method contains fluid temperature field calculation,which can calculate the temperature of fluid temperature field,and revise the updated step length according to the temperature of fluid particles,it can realize the transformation of fluid particles from movement condition to static condition,in order to imitate the solidification process of molten pool during the welding process.Fourthly,the assessment methods of welding stretch path is researched,and regarding the specific requirements during the welding stretch operation,it puts forward a kind of similarity measure method based on stretch path projection.This method contains there components,namely integrity,offset and variance,it can conduct similarity measurement of the exercise path of trainees' practical operation based on the standard path given by the stimulation system.The similarity results calculated by this method can meet visual sights of human beings.Finally,combined with above research results,the welding virtual reality protocol system is designed and developed,and the functions of various modules of the protocol system can be analyzed from two main aspects,namely hardware and software of the system.The protocol system has good human-machine interaction and high immersive visual performance.
