Liquid ammonia is the necessary raw material of nitric acid, urea and other fertilizers. In addition, it is widely used as a refrigerant in the refrigeration industry because it can absorb a lot of heat when vaporizes. Liquid ammonia is strong corrosive and easy volatile and it belongs to the high risk of toxic liquid, it also had triggered lots of accidents. For many years,in order to effectively control and reduce the liquid ammonia accident consequences and analyze and predict the spread trends and impact of liquid ammonia spills, a lot of study have been improved on liquid ammonia leakage diffusion models and diffusion simulation by domestic and foreign scholars.Firstly, based on the physical and chemical properties, harm of liquid ammonia and the research achievements about toxic gas diffusion model by scholars of home and abroad,Gaussian plume model is determined to apply to this virtual reality technology to leaks of liquid ammonia diffusion model. Using the three-dimensional modeling software and Unity3 D virtual reality engine, the chemical plant area of liquid ammonia leakage accident virtual scene is successfully set up. Then combining the virtual reality technology with liquid ammonia diffusion model theory and using the simulation engine of the particle system simulation principle, the three-dimensional simulation and trend of 2.5-dimensional diffusion of liquid ammonia particles are successfully simulated.Through the deep analysis in joint drills script of actual liquid ammonia leakage, the major decision-making instruction of different emergency departments is summarized, and the virtual emergency drills and training system for liquid ammonia leakage accident are designed and implemented. The system can simulate the different scenes of accident exercises by changing the parameters such as wind direction and wind speed. Finally, the system is tested through an example and the functions followed could be achieved like different virtual drill under the initial conditions of the environment, regulating the practice process at any time,real-time recording and feedback of each department decision, achieving the spread progressof liquid ammonia diffusion and rescue effect, providing a visualization of the virtual environment for the practice of emergency rescue department. The system can also submit practice process documentary in the form of text, which can provides a scientific basis in improving the collaboration ability of training department personnel when liquid ammonia leakage accidents happen, it also can provide support for adjustment of emergency plan and scientific emergency command.
