Research On The Environmental Effect And Countermeasures Of Urban Residents' Consumption

Environmental issues have long been an important issue of global concern.And in the economic boom of China,environmental problems have also emerged from various fields.There is an indisputable fact that resources are tight and pollution emissions are serious in the city,although which has a large population and a prosperous economy.Environmental problems have seriously affected the physical and mental health and quality of life of urban residents.The research has shown that the consumption problem is the core of the environmental crisis.Therefore,promoting the formation of a green development mode and lifestyle has become an important measure to build a beautiful China.Using the theories and methods of sustainable development theory,statistics,econometrics,regional development management,consumption economics and other disciplines,the relationship,between urban residents' consumption and urban environment,is analyzed based on the platform of coordinated development of social,economic,scientific and technological environment.According to the related concepts of urban residents' consumption,the theory of sustainable consumption and the theory of urban sustainable development are systematically sorted out,and the research methods and models are discussed.A model of urban residents' consumption environment effect is constructed and Jiangsu province is taken as an example for empirical analysis.The environmental effects of urban residents' consumption is recognized,so as to provide a basis for guiding urban residents to optimize their consumption structure,strengthen urban environmental protection,realize sustainable consumption and enhance their capacity for sustainable development.The results prove that:(1)China's urban residents have a greater willingness to consume and a greater consumption potential,but which still causes some pressure on the urban environment.(2)The national hectare model of residents' consumption footprint and the water footprint model of input-output method are constructed to obtain a complete system of footprint accounts.(3)The results of empirical ayalysis in Jiangsu province show that:(1)The total consumption ecological footprint of urban residents is on the rise,and the per capita ecological footprint is relatively stable.Fishing ground and cropland can bear the consumption footprint of urban residents,but forest land and grazing land cannot.(2)The consumption of virtual water in Jiangsu province is more than three times that of real fresh water,although the actual water used by urban residents is not high.Virtual water of food is the largest share,and virtual water of housing is growing the fastest.(3)The double pyramid model of food consumption of urban residents in Jiangsu province is constructed to depict the healthy and environmentally friendly distribution of food consumption of urban residents.The results of grey prediction show that the food consumption of Jiangsu urban residents is in the process of optimization.(4)To deal with the environmental effects of residents' consumption in China requires the joint efforts of the government,enterprises and residents.The innovations of the research include:(1)The model of urban residents' consumption environment effect is constructed and the research theory of sustainable consumption is perfected.According to the consumption content of urban residents,the environmental effect theory system of urban residents' consumption is constructed and a complete model including 7 types of footprints and 4 accounts is designed.The application of interdisciplinary analysis provides a new way for scientifically guiding the consumption pattern of residents,conforms to the requirements of sustainable development,and makes the theory of sustainable consumption research abundant and perfect.(2)The method of studying the environmental effect of household consumption is improved and the research depth of environmental effects is expanded.Based on the NFA and the ecological footprint of calorific value,the calculation method of ecological footprint parameters is improved,and typical analysis is given to the comprehensive analysis.The introduction of the double pyramid model and ninedepartments input-output model,in order to make the sources of the urban environment pressure and causes understood more clearly,raised the depth of the analysis and research.(3)It provides the paradigm of empirical research and provides the basis for local sustainable development management.Taking Jiangsu province as an example,the empirical study provides a detailed case for studying the environmental effects of urban residents' consumption.With replicability and portability,the research helps to analyze the relationship between residents' consumption and urban environment,and serves the local sustainable development management.On the basis of defining the theoretical framework of the environmental effect of residents' consumption,the multidisciplinary theories and methods are comprehensively applied.The combination of theoretical analysis and empirical research not only enhances the application value of the theory,but also ensures the scientific nature of empirical analysis.
