Study On The Landscape Planning And Design Of The New Rural Settlement In The Loess Gully Area Of The West Of Henan Province

On october 2011,the 9th Party Congress of Henan province proposed to promote the coordinated development of industrialization,urbanization and modern agriculture,in order to accelerate the construction of new-type urbanization.For implementing the new strategy,Pingdingshan and Xuchang in the Southeast of Henan province pioneered the second generation development model of the new-type rural community.For example,the community of Jiulongshan,the community of Zhangzhuang,the community of Bodu and the community of Dongmingyi.In contrast,the Western part of Henan,located in the loess gully area,has not yet to find a compatible development model for its new-type rural communities.With the economic upturn and accelerating modernization process,we must face the social challenge about how improve the conditions of rural human settlements in this region.The thesis focus on the rural landscape construction of the western part of Henan in the loess gully area.Based on the social reality about the rural transformation development during the period of the construction of new-type urbanization,analysis of landscape elements,and propose the basic landscape planning strategies and design methodologies in this region.The article consists of four parts:Firstly,the author analyzes the prototype of the traditional settlement in the loess gully area by conducting a thorough analysis of the regional geographical and socialeconomic characteristics,summing up the features of the traditional rural landscape in the loess gully area.Secondly,the author analyzes development trend of the transformation about the rural landscape in the loess gully region from three aspects: new-type urbanization process,modern agricultural development,and modern living needs,thus providing a deep dissection of the changing motivation about the transformation of the rural landscape in the loess gully area.Thirdly,the author analyzes difference between the construction of traditional rural landscape and reality,summing up the landscape elements about the new rural settlements,and proposes a comprehensive landscape planning strategy,design methods and design guidelines for the new rural settlement’s landscape construction in the loess gully area of the west of Henan province.Finally,the thesis take the Gaomiao which located in the loess gully area of the west of Henan province as the typical case,attempts to explore the the proper methods for the new rural settlement landscape construction in the loess gully area of the west of Henan province.
