Colored asphalt pavement is one of the important parts of the country to develop functional pavement.Bright color is the most important function of colored asphalt pavement.At present,at home and abroad the study of evaluation methodology of color function for colored asphalt pavement is very limited,as well as the study of strengthen technology of color durability.How to use effective method to evaluate color durability of colored asphalt and utilize reasonable technology to improve color durability,are the urgently key issues for the widespread promotion of colored asphalt pavement.Therefore,an acrylic resin emulsion seal coat was sprayed on the surface of the traditional colored asphalt pavement to develop a kind of color durable colored pavement resisting tire trace residues and significantly improve the color durability of colored road.In the aspect of studying the evaluation method of colored function of colored asphalt pavement,the finite element method was utilized to simulate the process of automobile tire-track residue caused by the wear of tread rubber in the two kinds of working conditions including the steady rolling and braking on colored asphalt pavement,respectively.Subsequently,a qualitative research for the resistance to tire-track residues of colored asphalt pavement was conducted.The results showed that the wear extent between the tire tread and the color durable colored micro-surfacing was weaker than the traditional colored micro-surfacing,especially at the positions of the outer edge of tire tread.So,it was means that the former had a better tire-track resistance.In addition,quantitative researches for the resistance to tire-track residues and color durability of colored asphalt pavement were conducted through the test of indoor tire trace residue and calculation of the rate of tire trace residue.The extent of tire-track residue on colored asphalt pavement was evaluated by using the RGB function in Photoshop.Subsequently,the color durability of colored asphalt pavement was studied through two tests of long-term rolling and long-term aging.The test and analysis results showed that the acrylic resin emulsion resisting tire-track spayed on color durable colored asphalt pavement can effectively prevent and reduce the tire trace residue.In the aspect of improving the color durability of colored asphalt pavement,based on the surface energy theory,the mechanism analysis of the tire-track resistance and removing including physical methods and chemical methods were conducted for acrylic resin emulsion sprayed on the surface of colored asphalt pavement.Subsequently,the optimization research of acrylic resin emulsion was carried out,aiming to improve the tire-trace resistance of color durable colored asphalt pavement.The Wilhelmy Plate method and sessile drop method were employed to measure the surface energy of three types of acrylic resin emulsion and that of a tread rubber,respectively.On the basis of the mechanism analysis of tire-track residue,the performance of resistance to tire-track residue of acrylic resin seal coat was quantified.Then,the further mechanism analysis and research of tire-track removing were conducted.The results proved that the type of L4600 resin emulsion sprayed on the surface of colored asphalt pavement as a seal coat layer can increase the color durability of colored asphalt pavements.Moreover,the cohesive energy of colored asphalt and the adhesive energy between the colored asphalt and the aggregates were quantified based on surface energy theory.The matching studies were conducted to the various combinations of colored asphalt-aggregate,so as to improve the color durability of colored asphalt pavement.The analysis results demonstrated that comparing with the red basalt,the adhesion performance and moisture stability between colored asphalt and the red granite was better.This result was consistent with the analysis result of wettability.Therefore,it can be indicated that the combination between colored asphalt and red granite had a great matching,which can effectively improve the color durability of colored asphalt pavement.Finally,based on engineering practice,the research of production and construction technology for color durable colored micro-surfacing was carried out,and the quality acceptance index of completed project of colored micro-surfacing was proposed.Subsequently,Long-term performance evaluation and benefit analysis of color durable colored micro-surfacing were conducted respectively.It was proved that color durable colored micro-surfacing had great long-term performance and application prospect.
