As the road enters the stage of conservation and further development of channel traffic, the demand for pavement maintenance technology and functional distinction has become increasingly apparent. In this paper, a novel color thin-layer paving method based on color cement base ultra-thin wearing course is proposed with recent conservation technologies and related research on color pavement technology at home and abroad.At first, the raw materials of color cement base ultra-thin wearing course were compared and analyzed, test different mixture ratio and the corresponding relation of mechanical performance. According to the trend of performance change and modification effect to determine the dosage range of each component, benchmark mixture ratio is proposed:water cement ratio 0.4, sand cement ratio 1.5, sand graduation(grader retained percentage1.18:0.6:0.3:0.15=40:30:15:15), waterborne epoxy resin:curing agent=1:1.3, polymer-cement ratio 10%, volume content of PVA fiber 0.2%, powder type of water proofing agent dosage7%, and the other properties of the material are further studied on the basis of the mixture ratio above. Secondly referring to pavement technical indicators and test specifications, the performance of the pavement were tested and analyzed, it concluded that: abrasive resistance of color cement base ultra-thin wearing course, high temperature deformation resistance, adhesive strength, anti-sliding performance and so on can meet the pavement design standard, and compared with similar materials, it has more excellent performance and construction convenience. By exposure and color value contrast method, color durability and efflorescence were quantitatively analyzed, using micro detection instrument including scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS), X-ray diffraction, we can determine that the composition of rime is the composition of CaCO3 and crystalline compounds containing K, Mg, and the microstructure of the samples are characterized, preliminary analyzed the relationship between microstructure and macroscopic properties. At last, the application fields and construction technology of this material are discussed in the view of engineering application, with guiding opinions for the construction process.
