With the rapid growth of our national economy, the highway of our country ushered in apeak season of rapid development. However, along with the massive construction of highway,the road traffic is also growing rapidly, but at present, the traffic supervision in our country isnot perfect yet, so the overload phenomenon is quite serious. What’s more, we usually attachmuch importance to the construction and despire the maintenance, as a result, a lot ofhigh-grade highways start to appear some serious damage even in early time. So it’s verynecessary to do some preventive maintenance for the road suface at the right time.This study is based on the previous researches at home and abroad and referes to themicro-surfacing technology. It aims to study out a preventive maintenance technology whichwith bettert road performance and less noise than micro-surfacing. The research mainlydevelops on the following four aspects: the first, develop the SBS modified emulsified asphatfor cold construction; the second, design the mix proportioning; the third, analyz the roadperformance of the mixture; the fourth, do research on the noise performance of the mixture.The process of modification before emusifide is used to produce the SBS modified emulsifiedasphat. In order to produce a kind of SBS modified emulsified asphat with excellentperformance, a kind of cationic emulsifier D and a kind of non-ionic emulsifier E are usedtogether to emulsify the SBS modified asphat, also a kind of organic stabilizer A and a kind ofinorganic stabilizer B are used together to improve its stability. In this research, the medianvalue of MS-Ⅲ gradation is adopted, at the same time,we add3%of the20mesh rubberparticles and0.2%of the polyester fiber which length is six millimeter in the mixture. Bydoing the wet track abrasion test、the resistance to deformation of wheel track test、theanti-sliding performance test and the water stability performance test with the mixture, wefound that the SBS modified emulsified asphat mixture designed in this study has better roadperformance than the SBR modified emulsified asphat mixture which is widely used in thetraditional micro-surfacing. In order to evaluate the noise performance of the mixture, weinvented the tires slide rail system independently, and use the indoor accelerated rolling testsystem which is also invented by our reaserch group to test the noise of the mixture plate. Theexperimental results showed that the noise of the mixture palte was reduced effectively due tothe addition of the rubber particles and the polyester fibre.
