Study On The Characteristics Of Public Space And The Protection Strategy Of The Ancient City Of Jieyang

Urban historical public space is the core carrier of urban historical context and vitality.Historical public space carries the memory of the city.The course of spatial evolution clearly reflects the historical context of the evolution of urban society's humanistic and economic environment.As the basis of urban characteristics,historical public space is an important symbol system to express the image of the city,and it also reflects the spiritual and cultural connotation and personality characteristics of urban places.The improvement of the quality and vitality of historical public space plays an important role in urban prosperity,the improvement of residents' quality of life,the strengthening of citizens' sense of belonging,community ties and class integration.It is a fact that many historic towns in our country have been destroyed.It is unrealistic to protect historic towns comprehensively or restoring them.Historical protection should focus on the core of history,public space.Through the overall protection and renewal of public space,we retain the spirit of urban context and place to enhance the vitality of the city.By studying the development motivation of public space and the evolution process of public space elements in Jieyang Ancient City,this paper extracts the typical characteristics of historical public space in Jieyang Ancient City,and draws lessons from the latest international theoretical and practical results to provide a systematic protection strategy for the protection and renewal of Jieyang Ancient City.The object of this study is the public space of the ancient city of Jieyang.At present,the research on the history of urban construction and public space form of Jieyang ancient city is still blank in planning and architecture circles.As the birthplace of Chaoshan culture,Jieyang Ancient City is engraved with the history of social,cultural and economic development since the Southern Song Dynasty.The historical public space of the ancient city,such as Fengshui pattern,city pool pattern,water system pattern,streets,squares,blocks and so on,has strong regional characteristics.This paper clarifies the related concepts of public space.The article reviews the history of public space's historical protection concept.This paper studies the overall framework of public space morphological analysis,elaborates the specific contents and methods of cause analysis,descriptive analysis and hermeneutic analysis.The article puts forward the multidimensional evaluation system of public space.It also points out the progressive design direction of public space protection design from visual art,use experience to place shaping.This article makes a comprehensive interpretation of the causes of public space in Jieyang ancient city.In this paper,the geological features,natural environment,economic development,political system,folk system composition and local folk culture of Jieyang ancient city in different historical periods are analyzed by means of philosophy,historical urban geography,urban sociology and cultural ecology.The achievements and changes of public space construction in various historical stages in Jieyang under the influence of the above factors are summarized.The article summarizes the causes of the public space in Jieyang ancient city.The political causes analyzed the influence of power and etiquette system on the layout of city pools and authoritarian buildings in Jieyang Ancient City;the cultural causes analyzed the influence of religious culture,clan culture and geomantic culture on the layout of spiritual space(temples,ancestral temples),block texture,city location,residential construction and decoration of Jieyang Ancient City;This paper analyzes the impact of trade development on City fairs and street pattern development.The descriptive and annotative analysis of the public space form of Jieyang Ancient City mainly uses the methods of urban form analysis,typology,environmental and behavioral psychological analysis,etc.This paper studies the public space of Jieyang ancient city from seven aspects: geomancy pattern,urban air defense room,water system space,street and lane space,public construction space,block space and garden space,and analyses the development and evolution process of urban spatial form elements in each dynasty,so as to form a diachronic image of each historical public space of Jieyang ancient city.The formation process of its present situation.This article sums up the characteristics of Fengshui pattern in Jieyang ancient city,which is surrounded by double water and is like a gourd.The pattern of the city is characterized by five city gates,three water gates,and inside and outside walls.The characteristics of water system space are dense water networks,three rivers and 100 bridges.The characteristics of street space are four vertical and four horizontal,and the shape is like fishbone.The public building space is characterized by the central government offices and the layout of the altar.The characteristics of block space are regular residence and organic space.By studying the practices of Singapore,Denmark,the United States,Canada and the United Nations in the protection of public space,this paper expounds the successful experiences and important trends in the renewal of international public space protection from the perspectives of holistic conservation,progressive protection,vitality stimulation,human wisdom and new public participation.The experience drawn from the experience is used to refine the public space protection in the ancient city of Jieyang.Finally,based on the study of the historical features of public space in Jieyang Ancient City and the theory and practice at home and abroad,this paper puts forward the idea of holistic protection of public space in Jieyang Ancient City,and puts forward three strategies for the protection and renewal of public space in Jieyang Ancient City:1)the overall conservation strategy.2)gradual updating strategy.3)the strategy of humanity and vitality.Integral conservation determines the value composition of public space and plans its complete space protection framework from macro and strategic perspectives.Gradual updating is a strategy to turn public space protection into zero and then zero and whole.The strategy of human nature and vitality is a humanistic approach to the form,scale,expression of place spirit,stimulation of economic vitality and improvement of social function of specific space.
