The self-reference effect is the enhanced speed and quality of processing and memorization observed with respect to information that is related to the individual's self-concept.According to the preceding research,self-reference effect have the different with degree,and different degree of intimacy with the core self.Then,the brain on the depth of its reference treatment is different,also.Highly self-relevant stimulus will get faster response compared with minimally self stimulate in the brain.This is called the degree of self-reference processing effect.On the basis of summarizing the preceding research,this study uses the event related potential technology,through five ERPs experiments investigation the degree of self-reference processing,the influence of emotion on self-reference processing degree effect,and the degree of special subjects of self-reference processing effect and neural mechanisms.Experiment 1 using three kinds of classic oddball stimulus experimental paradigm and an implicit way for discussed of self-reference processing on the degree of effect.The results found that the P2 amplitude,highly self-related and medium self related name induced more amplitude in the right position and central brain regions of P2 than the left side of the brain regions.In the latent period of P2,highly self-related name had shorter period than the moderately and minimally self-related name evoked by P2.In N2 amplitude,highly self-related name induced the larger amplitude of N2 than moderately and minimally and non-self related name.On the latent period of N2,highly self-related name induced a shorter latent period than moderately and minimally self and non-self names on P2.On average amplitude of P3,highly self-related name induce the greater P3 amplitude than the moderately and minimally self-related and non-self-related names.Experiment 2 used images priming paradigm,first,present mood pictures,and then presents the self-reference stimulation,to investigate positive emotions on effect of self-reference processing degree.Experiments found that neutral emotional condition inspired greater amplitude than positive emotions,and highly self-relevant stimulus induced shorter latent period than other stimulation on the P2.On the N2,highly self-related name induce the smaller N2 amplitude and longer latent period than moderately and non-self related names.On P3,highly self-related name induce the greater P3 amplitude than moderately and non-self related names,medium self related name induce greater P3 amplitude than self name.Experiment 3 adopt same images priming paradigm,in which present the emotional images,and then presents the self-reference stimulation,to investigate negative emotions on effect of self-reference processing degree.Experiment found that negative mood condition self-reference processing inspired smaller amplitude and longer latent period than neutral emotional conditions started on the P2.On the N2,under the condition of neutral pictures,highly self-related names induce the smaller N2 amplitude than other names;compared with neutral priming,highly and moderately self-related stimulus evoke smaller amplitude under negative emotions priming condition.Negative emotions priming under self-reference processing inspired smaller P3 amplitude compare with neutral emotions.In the left parietal lobe of the brain and central,high self-related name induce the greater P3 amplitude than other name,and moderately self-related name induce greater P3 amplitude than non-self related name in the central brain.Experiment 4 adopted three kinds of classic oddball models,using an implicit way to investigate the effect of extraversion individual self-reference processing degree.Experiment found that,highly self-related name in the electrode at the front,middle and central position,and position on the right side of the brain and central brain regions induce the greater amplitude than other stimulation on the P2.The most significant effect is founded in central regions.In the latent period of P2,highly self-related names in the electrode at the front,central,and back position,induced the short latent period than other stimulation.The latent period of the central electrode position is the shortest.In N2 amplitude,central and front-central position,highly self-related stimulus induced the greater N2 amplitude than other stimulation;Comparing with extraversion subjects,highly self-related name of the control group subjects induced the larger amplitude of N2 than other stimulation.Comparing with extraversion subjects,highly self-related name of N2 induced shorter latent period than other stimulus;on average amplitude of P3,highly self-related stimuli induced greater amplitude than other stimulation.Comparing with extraversion subjects,control group subjects self-reference stimulation induced the larger P3 amplitude.Experiment 5 adopted three kinds of classic oddball models,using an implicit way to investigate the extraversion individual self-reference processing degree effect.Experiment found that on the P2 amplitude,highly self-related stimuli of electrode at front and central and front-central position induced greater P2 amplitude than other stimulation.On the latent period of P2,the electrode in the front,central,and parietal position,highly self-related to stimulate induced the short incubation period than other stimulation.In N2 amplitude,highly self-related name induced larger P2 amplitude than other stimulus in the left brain;comparing introversive subjects,control group subjects of highly self-relevant names induced larger amplitude of N2 than other stimulation.On the latent period of N2,highly self-relevant stimuli in the whole brain induced the short latent period of N2,it is better than other stimulation,and the central-parietal position of the electrode is the shortest possible;Highly self-relevant name of two types of personality subjects induced shorter incubation period of N2 than other stimulation,but control group subjects is the shortest.On average amplitude of P3,highly self-relevant stimuli in whole brain induced the P3 amplitude is bigger than other stimulation.The effect of midline brain regions is largest.Research results show that self-reference processing with the degree of effect is actually existence,highly self-relevant stimuli will get deeper and exquisite processing than moderately self relevant stimuli,moderately self relevant stimuli were getting more deep and exquisite processing than minimally self relevant stimuli.Positive and negative emotional effect on the self-reference processing is different,the influence of positive emotional on self-reference processing degree effect is limited,the two may have independent processing system,and noninterference;Negative emotions interference effect on the self-reference processing mainly displays in the pre-medium phase of self-reference processing to the attention of the stage,and in the late stage of cognitive,this kind of interference is waken.Extraversion and introversion subjects in the degree of self-reference processing effect show similar features.Comparison control group individuals,extraversion and introversion subject was weaker in the degree of self-reference processing effect.And in early stage,highly self-relevant stimuli of control group individuals will be faster being noticed than minimally self-related stimuli by the brain.In the late stage of cognitive,highly self-relevant stimuli will get deeper and elaborating processing.
