A Cultural Perspective On The Style Of Novels Since The New Era (1978-2013)

As an important cultural phenomenon,style provides a unique perspective for us to study the novel.This thesis consists of two aspects of efforts,one is to study the rough evolution of stylistic development of the novel form since the new period from the perspective of ontology,and the second is placing the already existing stylistic development form for reference in the multiple cultural contexts to explore the causes.Based on this,taking culture as the dominant perspective,combining the macroscopic and microscopic analysis,as well as theories and methods of text interpretation,mainly from the cultural trends such as modernism,post-modernism culture,popular culture thoughts,to explore its influence on the style writer's choice:from the cultural resources such as regional culture,Oriental culture,"and" classical literary tradition,to explore its penetration into the formation of the writer's spirit,and the generation of stylistic variation phenomenon;at the same time,the close relationship between style and culture has been analyzed from the author's cultural psychology,such as political and cultural psychology,intergenerational cultural psychology,female cultural psychology,etc.According to the features of the development of style novels,characterized by the linear way of discussion,the thirty years of the new period has been divided into four time quantum like the new era,in late 80s,at the end of twentieth Century,the new century,starting from stylistic elements as the structure style,narrative style,linguistic forms,the development of novels since the new period has been roughly outlined.On this basis,synchronic descriptions,respectively from the cultural trend of disseminated cultural resources and cultural infiltration,the demands of cultural psychology have been adopted to analyze how cultural factors influence the generation of style.Finally,the limits and the possible dimensions of stylistic development novels since the new period have been introspected and criticized,combined with the current situation of the development of style from the perspective of culture.The contemporary novels,together with multiple factors and joint efforts,such as economic,political,cultural and creative subject,and also its own development,has taken the central position of this era,its central position is not only reflected in the external works such as publishing,participation of the group of writers and other quantifiable indicators,is also reflected in the increasing attention on the style of novels.A fine combing of the evolution mirror images of the stylistic development of novels since the new period,reveals that at the beginning of the new period was the slow recovery and attempt period,the late 80s was the rising and active period,the end of Twentieth Century the wild period,the new century the stable introversion,multiple exploration period,the fever of attention of the literary circle on the style is on the rise.Although the style itself has no difference of superiority or inferiority,but as a "meaningful" form,style always lay emphasis on its organic integration of ideology with the works,though in the literary world,the organic integration of works is thin compared with the vastness of novel writing,while due to the influence of western modernism,post-modernism culture,the increasing literary style exploration activities also exile the novel meanings,by pursuing the ultimate sense of formalism in form.The political,cultural and psychological dependence has forced the writer to banish the form of the novel,and take the tendency of story ontology.The popular digestion culture of the style,the predicament of the writers' echelon,and the anomie phenomenon of style brought by popular writing,all these contributed to such a predicament of the style exploration.Facing the limits,the literary circles at home and abroad,the academia and media circles gradually promoted the ideological and artistic works,the different generations of writers interact optimally,and writers of fiction abide by or break through the general knowledge of style,all these provide a strong spiritual support for the writer's stylistic exploration.From the perspective of generic ontology,style exploration,as a kind of very important literary phenomenon in the contemporary novel development,its existence,development and future trends artistically illuminates the development history of novel;from the point of view of the main creation body,the process of the style exploration is a growth history Chinese writers' spirit;from the perspective of the causes of influence,stylistic exploration process is a history of interwoven multicultural contexts in China.All styles are definitely marked by the era and culture.
