Nowadays,carry forward the traditional culture has become an important mission and strategic goals in China,however,the paradox is that,as an important part of traditional culture,traditional handicraft industry is extremely atrophy,more and more traditional handicraft is included in the intangible,on the one hand this phenomenon shows that China wants to carry forward the traditional culture,on the other hand,it also exposed the fact that traditional arts and crafts have a weakening of their regenerative forces,they need protection from the government to continue.Therefore,it's important to think and make solutions for the crisis of traditional handicraft.This paper based on the history and similarity of handicraft.In diachronic,the concern about the reality is plug in to a continuation of the timeline,the traditional handicraft production under different social form,culture,and form of crisis,and,according to the thinkers in the 20th century,Daniel bell for the account of post-industrial society,if the traditional handicraft with inertia model into the future of the post-industrial society,will face more severe challenges.Therefore,this paper connected history again,time will restore to the end of the 19th century when western facing a crisis of the handicraft,doing the research of the British arts and crafts movement,early Bauhaus ideal with western studio movement,and analyzes their actions of improved practices.Traditional handicraft rejuvenation and development must be the part of transition of the contemporary culture,contemporary society and cultural are the necessary context,this part of the paper is writen about the similarity of history and different study subject which involved in,talking about relationship between the handicraft and contemporary social and cultural transformation,in human needs,sense of responsibility of intellectuals,angles such as history and reality to further create the traditional craft of contemporary cultural transformation strategy,combined with arts and crafts and contemporary design,arts and crafts and classic case analysis of contemporary art,to demonstrate the rationality of traditional handicraft culture transformation.Paper embarks from the reality to crisis roots,historical experience,the contemporary social culture in different angles,such as,coping strategies,more comprehensive combing the crisis and the contemporary transformation of traditional arts and crafts of inevitability and effective path of development,so as to provide certain theory of the contemporary revival of Chinese traditional arts and crafts research reference.
