The Cognitive Semantics Of The Words "Shang/Xia" In Modern Chinese

As we all know,all human activities are carried out within a certain space,and the process of carrying out the position and displacement are two very important factors.The spatial orientation is an essential element in the human cognitive world.Therefore,the directional word is also an extremely important spatial concept in human cognition.However,human perceptions of events and displacement events in the space environment around them belong to an experience of space.With different specificsEnvironment,the main body of speech expression also often has different ways of understanding space.The Chinese "Shang/ Xia" is more than once in all rare groups in various languages.The "Shang / Xia" in addition to being able to act as the locality of position,can also act as a verb to express space displacement.Therefore,as a learner who loves Chinese,I would like to conduct a comprehensive study of the phenomenon of "Shang/Xia" polysemy in Chinese,while also trying to express "len / Xuong" and "Tren / Duoi" in their native language Compared.Using the cognitive semantic theory and semantic concept components of the sports events are used to analyze and explain Chinese "Shang/Xia" and Vietnamese "Len/Xuong" and "Tren/Duoi".Find the common meaning and difference in the process of expressing azimuth position and space displacement.In the first,the authors need to collect a large number of materials and corpus about "up / down" in Chinese and "len / xuong","tren / duoi" in Vietnamese.This paper sums up the research's results of "Shang/Xia" and "Len/Xuong" and "Tren/Duoi",and revises for the previous researchs.In general,it clarifies the research object,theoretical method,the thought and the source of the corpus are clarified.In the second,is to construct the semantic framework of the Chinese and Vietnamese language "Shang Xia" preliminarily.First compare the Vietnamese words "Len \ Xuong" and "Tren \ Duoi" to make the difference between this two.Then compare the "Shang / Xia" with the word order of the Vietnamese "Len / Xuong" and "Tren / Duoi" structure.Based on the author's detailed analysis of the semantic features of the spatial relationship between Han and Yue,based on the principle and method of describing the object parts by Mr.Liu Qiuzhong(1988),the author points out that the position is generally a static spatial relationship,and the direction can be static or dynamic.Therefore,the Chinese "Shang / Xia" as nouns,the locative word and the Vietnamese "Tren \ Duoi" are classified as static direction."Shang/ Xia" in Chinese as a verb and "Len\Xuong" in Vietnamese as a dynamic direction.From then on,the detailed study on the spatial position(static direction)and spatial displacement(dynamic direction)of Han and Yue dynasties respectively is proposed to propose the semantic features and semantic structure of the two.At the same time,it also discusses and compared the shape system,time and space of "Shang/ Xia" in Han and Yue Dynasties.In the third is to compare and analyze in detail the cognitive semantics of Chinese "Shang/ Xia" with the static direction of "Tren \ Duoi" in Vietnamese.To further understand the spatial meaning of the two,first find out the commonness and difference between the semantic features of the two space expressions and try to highlight the "Shang/ Xia" and Vietnamese�Tren \ Duoi� space of Vietnamese expression space Grammatical means and the significance of the existence of what kind of difference between them? What are the two important factors that influence the "Shang / Xia" and "Tren \ Duoi" when expressing the meaning of space between the observer and the method of orientation? Then a detailed contrastive analysis of the "Shang/ Xia" in Chinese and "Len\Xuong" in Vietnamese extension of the meaning and to find the root of the difference between them.Finally,the paper sums up the various meanings expressed in the static direction of Chinese "Shang/Xia",and initially points out the semantic web of the "Shang/Xia" static direction.In the fourth,makes a detailed and comprehensive analysis of the semantic features,means of expression and the semantic components of the "Len/Xuong" in Chinese "Shang/Xia" by L.Talmy with the semantic concept of sports events.Based on the collocation ability of "Shang/ Xia" and Vietnamese "Len / Xuong",this paper finds out the characteristics of semantic cognition in the expression of displacement events.In this paper,the meaning of "Shang/Xia" as a verb is sorted and the semantic web of "Shang/Xia" dynamic direction is proposed.Finally,the conclusion of this thesis,summed up the research conclusions put forward in this paper,and puts forward the innovative significance of this article and the shortcomings of this study.
