Laoism of Tang and Sung Dynasties is a constant whole that's true. But they really have two diffenent faces because people have picked up differnt ways to go into Tao as time goes by.Laoism of Tang is typical for the “Tong Xuan”pursuit and Laoism of Sung for“Fu Xing”,both of which are diffenert sides of the Chinese Laoist philosophy as to saying turkey to one and bazzard to another is inappropriate. The first half of this book is for Laoism of Tang, the second half Laoism of Sung, and every half of this book consists of eight authors of Laoism in that dynasty. The Tang part consists of:Wang Xuanlan,Cheng Xuanying,Li Rong,Tang Xuanzong,Lu Dongbin,Wang Zhen,Lu Xisheng,Du Guangting, the Sung part consists of:Chen Jingyuan, the unknown Taoist,Lu Huiqing,Wang Anshi,Su Zhe,Zhao Ji,Li Jiamou,Lin Xiyi.Monographs about Laoism by the sixteen authors have been read in detail,in order to carefully describe an atlas for the Laoist transformation from Tongxuan to Fuxing during Tang and Sung Dynasties, find the appropriate function of Laoism of Tang and Sung Dynasties in the intellectual history of China, and make a luminous outlook for what the Laoism of Tang and Sung have left to the Chinese thoughts of today.
