This paper is the collation and research on the research results of Jinwen literature that discuss the war between the Early Western Zhou Dynasty and the Yi Fang.The selected eight inscriptions were respectively recorded the king Cheng's war against Dongyi,king Zhao's war against the south Chujing,and king Zhao's war against the Dongyi,which was not recorded by the classics.It is extremely important for the study of the history of the Western Zhou Dynasty.The relevant research results have been very rich.However,most publications are fragmented and their views are different.At present,the systematic collection and examination of the results of the eight inscriptions,from the perspective of philology,have not yet been seen.Therefore,this paper actually fills this gap.The content of the paper consists of two parts:The first part is the set release.Using the inscription segment as a unit,the research results of the segment since the Song Dynasty are collected in sequence under the segment in chronological order.All the examinations are in the original text,so that the reader can use them directly.This is the first time to make a systematic review of the existing research results in the academic world.The second part is the examination of different opinions and difficult questions.in two ways,one is the note,in each set after the release,try our best to compromise on the different views and make the correct explanation of the problems,in order to offer academic reference.The two is thematic research,which makes a systematic study of the major problems involved in the inscription.A total of six,respectively on the word“(?)?”in the Minggong Gui,“??”in the Xiaochen“?”Gui,the so-called“Liding”in the Hongshu Ding.and characters such as“(?)(?)”in the Baoyuan Gui,“?”in the Zuoce Celing Gui,“?”in the Hongshu's Bronzes.In this part,we puts forward some new viewpoints.
