Study Of Big Data Culture From The Perspective Of The Culture Power Strategy

Building socialist culture power with Chinese characteristics is the grand strategy adopted by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China based on the overall development of socialism with Chinese characteristics,scientific analysis of the current situation,and valuable historical lessons drawn from the past culture construction.In this age,rapid development of big data technology gives rise to big data culture,without which it is impossible to implement the grand strategy of building a socialist culture power with Chinese characteristics.This dissertation,written against this historical background,aims to conduct a systematical study of culture power strategy,with particular focus on the big data theories and their practical applications to culture power construction.This dissertation consists of five parts.The first chapter raises the research question based on the literature review of relevant studies both at home and abroad.It further clarifies the research question by defining the key terms such as science and technology culture and explaining the research methods.The second chapter provides an overview of big data technologies,tracing their evolution from their origins of numerals to data,from data to big data.The changes are regarded as the three data revolutions in terms of both data technologies and forms these technologies took.The third chapter provides a multi-dimensional analysis of big data culture,including its components,structural levels,main characteristics,and foundations.It continues to analyze the various cultural forms related to big data culture.The fourth chapter investigates the value of big data culture and explains how it supports the implementation of culture power strategy,keeps the vitality of socialist culture,and enhances the development of science and technology.The following chapter proposes to build big data culture based on culture power strategy under the guidance of Marxist concepts of culture,which includes adhering to Socialist Core Values,promoting identity of big data culture,allocating cultural resources to big data culture industries,deepening the reform of cultural regulatory systems,enhancing the innovations of big data management,and cultivating big data talents.Big data is the frontier of modern technology and big data culture has just started.Since this dissertation is only a preliminary study of big data culture,it may contain some limitations.Nevertheless,it is written in the hope of attracting more attention to the study of big data culture to push forward China's big data culture construction.
