As an influential music educator in modern China,Chen Hong has made outstanding contributions to the development of music in China.As one of the advocates of the "new music" movement in China,he advocates learning the westen music and then creating new music with the spirit of the Chinese era,creating a Chinese folk music,and finally achieving The great renaissance of Chinese music.This is the goal of his life struggle.As a music education practitioner,He devoted himself to China’s school music education and participates in social music education.his music education practice is an important means to achieve this goal.He edits journals,creates musical works,translates Western music,etc.His musical practice is to serve the music education practice he is engaged in.In a broad sense,It is part of the music education practice he is engaged in.He not only devotes himself to professional music education and normal music education in China,but also participates in and pays attention to social music education in China.His music education practice has gone through the period of Guangdong Drama Research Institute(embryonic stage),the period of private Guangzhou Music Academy(early stage),the period of Shanghai National Voice College(middle stage),the period of Nanjing National Music Academy and Nanjing Normal College(late stage).His music idea originated from his music education practice,such as "saving the nation by music","the doctrine of the mean" and "pragmatism".His music education practice in every stage is closely related to the economy and politics of the times,and has its unique characteristics.Especially in the period of Nanjing Normal University(renamed Nanjing Normal University in 1983),he made active and beneficial exploration in the field of music education in normal universities,and put forward such concepts as "teacher-oriented","kindness is the way to be a teacher","teacher’s morality is the basis of teachers" and "everything proceeds from reality".These concepts not only promoted the development of music education in China at that time.The exhibition still has a positive impact on music education in China.In contemporary China,where is the overall direction of music education development? It is necessary to systematically summarize and summarize the changes and development of modern music education in China,understand and study the thoughts and practices of modern music educators,while taking into account the current situation and problems,so as to provide reference for the reform and development of contemporary music education in China.As one of the modern musicians,Chen Hong’s music practice and concepts deserve to be sorted out and studied by future generations.What influence did his music idea have on the music cause of our country at that time? What positive reference significance does the study of his music concept have for the current music cultural undertakings in China,especially for the music education undertakings?
