A Study On The Thought And Practice Of The Chinese Communist Party's Associations During The Democratic Revolution

During the period of democratic re volution,the CPC faced the "general crisis" of political disintegration and social disorganization,and took the double historical responsibilities of realizing national independence and people's liberation.At the same time,as an anti-establishment revolutionary party,it could not act publicly and legally,and suffered from suppression of the reactionary regime constantly,which affected CPC's ability of resource-gathering and social mobilization,and also brought about some adverse impact on completing its historical task.In order to complete the task of modern revolution,the CPC had to fall back on all kinds of associations,and took them as an important means of gathering power and integrating resources for achieving its goal.In this process,the CPC formed rich association ideas and practice.CPC's association theory and practice is the unity of its various ideas and activities of mobilizing and organizing masses and social forces for completing modern revolutionary task,which mainly include three aspects:revolutionary-base association thought and practice,reactionary-area association thought and practice and secret-association thought and practice.This article mainly expounds the formation factors,evolution,basic connotation,main content,practical effect,features,position,etc.During the period of democratic re volution,the formation factors of the CPC's association theory mainly includes four aspects:the basic principle and thought of Marxism is the theoretical origin,promoting the development of revolution is subjective reason,rich experience in association work is the practical basis,the guidance of the Communist International is an important external condition.During the period of democratic revolution,the development and evolution of the CPC's association theory mainly included the following five stages:its germination in early days of the Party,the preliminary development during the Great Revolution,the tortuous development during the Agrarian Revolution,the mature development during Anti-Japanese War,and further development During the Liberation War.The Party's revolutionary-base association thought and practice,as a part of its whole association theory and practice during the period of democratic revolution,are a series of its thoughts,policies and work on the mass association in its own areas(the Soviet Area,the revolutionary anti-Japanese base areas and the liberated areas,etc.),which mainly includes a series of CPC's ideological understanding and corresponding work,such as basic association thoughts,policies and measures of association building,and some thoughts and policies of the relationship between the associations and the Party and governments.The Party's basic understanding on associations mainly includes two aspects:on the basis of their nature and characteristics,the Party thought that they should be voluntary and independent;on the basis of their function and roles,the Party thought They could safeguard the mass's interests and support the revolution.On the association consrtuction,the Party thought that they should be constructed from the following aspects,such as mission,organization construction,and working strategies.On the relationship between associations and the Party and governments,the Party thought that we should adhere to the two "unities":the unity of strengthening leadership and management of the associations and respecting their independence,and the unity of mutual support and preventing the bad tendencies.The Party's association thoughts and measures had made remarkable achievements,not only promoting the development of the associations in revolutionary bases,but also making the associations play a unique role in supporting revolutionary war,promoting the construction of revolutionary bases,and safeguarding the interests of the masses,etc.The Party's reactionary-area association thought and practice,another part of its whole association theory and practice,are a series of its thought,policies and work on the associations in the white areas,which includes how to build or develop revolutionary or progressive associations,how to develop the United Front Work on heterogeneous associations,how to guide associations to carry out the work and activities,etc.On the construction of the revolutionary associations in the white areas,the Party thought that they should be built from the following aspects,such as the mission,the organization construction.On working strategies of heterogeneous associations,the Party thought that they should be treated differently because of their different nature,for example,the progressive associations should be actively united and supported;neutral associations should be united and transformed;as for the right associations,their people should be united,while their leaders and organizations should be opposed.On work and activities of mass associations in the white areas,the Party had formed a series of policies and strategies,such as linking the mass interests to the revolutionary political struggle,using open and legitimate way to work and struggle.During the period of democratic revolution,the CPC's reactionary-area association thought and practice obtained great development,at the same time,there were some serious mistakes,especially in the early and middle period of the land revolution,which also caused some serious losses to the Party's association work and revolution cause.As another part of the CPC's whole association theory and practice,the Party's thought and practice of secret associations mainly includes the Party's thought and work of the origin and formation,composition and structure,nature and function,and working strategies of secret associations.The Party thought that the formation factors of secret associations included realistic,historical,religious and other factors,while the rule and oppression of imperialism and feudalism were the main reasons.On their composition and structure,the Party pointed out that they were mainly composed of the lower unemployment and bankruptcy mass,also including some leading elite forces.On their nature and function,the Party thought that It was a contradictory associations is correct in general,but also contains some wrong ingredients,which cause different effect in practice.CPC's association theory,under the background of revolution and on the guidance of Marxism,had a distinct characteristics,which had important practical significance and theoretical value.In terms of its characteristics,it had outstanding revolutionary,class nature and emphasis on CPC's leadership.From the point of practical significance,it had produced remarkable results:on one hand,it Mobilized and united the broad mass of revolutionary people and all kinds of social forces to support or participate in the revolutionary struggle,promoting the cause of the revolution;On the other hand,it was helpful to the formation and development of the new and contemporary China's associations,and it had different effects on the Party's mass associations at different periods of the new China.From the point of theoretical value,The Party's association theory is a product of the combination of the basic principles,association thought of Marxism and the Chinese revolution,association work of different historical period in essence,It is an organic part of Chinese Marxism.
