A Study Of The Cultivation Of The Role Consciousness Of Undergraduate Party Members

At present,the comprehensive strengthening of Party discipline has become the new routine of the construction of the Party and is extended to the grassroots and Party members.As Party members are the cells of CPC and the major participants of Party activities,the comprehensive strengthening of Party discipline naturally entails the discipline of its members.The role consciousness of college student Party members refers to the cognition,understanding and experience of their political identity and status,role norms and behavior,rights and obligations,role-play and performance.Party members' role consciousness represents the quality of Party members,reflects the education and management quality of Party members,and most importantly,it is a vital cornerstone of the formation and development of the Party's fighting capacity,cohesion and creativity.In order to enhance the role consciousness of undergraduate Party members,this dissertation discusses its connotation and structure,its cultivation and mechanism,and proposes the principles,methods,strategies and means to raise the role consciousness.The research follows the academic process of question raising,theoretical quest,theoretical construction and problem-solving.The introduction discusses the background and significance of the research.After a summary and analysis of research review of role consciousness of college student Party members,this chapter summarizes the practice and experience of how foreign parties cultivate the role consciousness of their member,and introduces the major arguments,research methods and the expected innovations of the dissertation.The first chapter illustrates the theoretical basis of the dissertation.There is a meticulous review of the cultivation of student Party members' role consciousness discussed in Marxist theories,CPC and modern western theories.The theoretical part of the dissertation,including the second,the third and the fourth chapters,analyzes the basic connotation and systematic contents of the role consciousness of college student Party members.We survey the current situation of college student Party members' role consciousness based on the questionnaires and explore the factors that influence the generation and development of the role consciousness.This part reveals how this role consciousness grows from mutual support and co-existence,to spiritual internalization and finally to practicing creativity,identifying the five phases of this role consciousness:physical perception,spiritual cognition,practical experience and rational reflection.In addition,this part explores the mechanism that influence the generation and development of the role consciousness and reveals the laws that govern this growth:the law of emotion,the law of discipline and self-discipline and the law of mutation and evolution.Furthermore,this part also proposes a role-consciousness cultivation mechanic system consisting of goals-setting,education,assessment,praise and punishment,security and surveillance and immersion.The practical part of the dissertation is made up of chapter five and chapter six.It puts forward four principles(orientation and liberty,uniformity and diversity,discipline and incentives,theory and practice)and six main methods(training,demonstration,practice,self-education,encouragement and cultural immersion)in raising the role consciousness of undergraduates Party members.Based on the questionnaires and the analysis we propose the strategies and means of cultivating college student Party members role consciousness that include the construction of service-oriented Party organization,the improvement of the spiritual culture modernized campus,the forging of the learning-oriented Party Personnel and the promotion of role models.Meanwhile,this part illustrates the significance of constructing the medium of management,practice,the Internet and culture in raising the role consciousness of undergraduate Party members,proposing innovative means such as subjectivity development,formal reform,personnel updating and capacity enhancement.
