Research On The Development Of Chinese Environmental Non-Govermental Organizations In The View Of Scientific And Technological Progress

Science,technology and environmental protection are closely connected with each other.The term "environmental protection" emerged along with the development of human science and technology,as well as ecological resources consumption in different industrial revolutions.It has been nearly 40 years since environmental non-govermental organizations initially started until today.The emergence and development are basically synchronous with the process of reform and open-up.It is promoted by combined efforts from government support,scientific and technological progress,inherent values and social concern.It is also practical reflection from the concept of green development,scientific and technological progress,and changes of time and values.Based on interdisciplinary research,the paper attempts to reveals inevitability and irreplaceability of emergence and development of environmental non-govermental organizations in the view of scientific and technological progress.Moreover,the technological progress.In Chapter One,through illustrating the the background and significance of the research,based on systematic summary of existing document research,this chapter proposes related thoughts and methods.As green development has increasingly become a social common understanding,the structural reform of "Small Government,Large Society "continues to deepen,the role and significance of environmental non-govermental organizations have been greatly enhanced and valued.The inevitability and irreplaceability of environmental non-govermental organizations are promoted by multiple reasons,including social progress,historical development,its inherent values,government failure theory and market failure theory.Moreover,this chapter reveals the internal relationship between instrumental reason and value reason,so as to stimulate emergence and development of these social organizations.In addition,environmental non-govermental organizations have undertaken increasingly important environmental protection projects,provided public products that government and companies fail to cover,built up planned and targeted organizational foundations for the general public to conduct environmental protection.Chapter Two analyzes support and restriction of ecological resources for scientific and technological progress,fulfillment and requirement of ecological civilization on scientific and technological progress,theoretical definition of environmental non-govermental organizations,important features of these social organization,as well as significant impacts of scientific and technological progress on environmental non-govermental organizations.It also clarifies the concept and features of Chinese environmental non-govermental organizations in the view of different regions,database of civil environmental non-govermental organization platforms,as well as interviews on well-known people in environmental protection and public welfare,this chapter analyzes the basic situation and main issues occurred in environmental non-govermental organizations.In the 1970s,the first environmental non-govermental organization,in the broad sense,was set up by the Chinese government sector.As environmental problems worsened,more and more people have paid more attention to the cause of environmental protection,non-governmental organizations also keep on emerging.After constant accumulation and four stages of development,environmental non-govermental organizations in China have covered most areas of environmental protection work.They have become indispensable component in the cause of environmental protection.Chinese environmental non-govermental organizations have rapidly developed along with global technology,as well as constant improvement of reform and opening up.The Central Committee of CPC have also provided related professional opinions and guidance for environmental protection,as well as formulated laws and regulations,including environmental protection,R&D investment in environmental protection,registration and management of social organizations,fund-raising and donations.However,disadvantages still exist.In addition,Chinese
