This paper conducts field investigation on the Hexi Getu Aobao on the Hadatu Mountain in Hure Town,Hure Banner,Tongliao City to obtain the field data and investigate the local customs,deeply explores the traditional Sacrificing Aobao of Mongol nationality and the current change,explores the relation between the government and folk reliefs as well as the role of folk customs.Besides,it conducts deep interviews with local residents through detailed investigation on Hexi Getu Aobao,takes establishment of "ceremony of Hexi Getu Aobao"as the starting point to present the formation process of Hexi Getu Aobao and the"creation" process of folk relief by the means of point-to-area.In view of"creation",this paper analyzes the formation process of Hexi Getu Aobao and the revolution of traditional Sacrificing Aobao from the factors such as economy,national policy,foreign culture and so on.This research takes the Culture Reproduction Theory of(?)and the concept of "field" as the theoretical guidance,takes the field investigation,literature research and deep interview as research methods to investigate the basic situation,form and characteristic of Hexi Getu Aobao,and discuss the role of government power in folk belief and cultural inheritance.The author centers on the concept of "field",namely power field,to explore the role of government power in the folk belief.In the power field,some social actors and groups having certain quantity of economic capitals and cultural capitals occupy dominant positions in their fields,and they will adopt various strategies to maintain the power balance.But with the steady progress of industrialization,automation and informatization and globalization,exchange between different nations has been strengthened.The material civilization of mankind has developed at an unprecedented speed,but the high prosperity of material civilization has not brought about corresponding rapid development of culture.On the contrary,material-abundant nations having greater say lead to cultural hegemonism and suppress cultural diversity.As far as China is concerned,influenced by historical reasons and geographical conditions,ethnic minorities lag behind the mainstream ethnic groups in all aspects of development.Since the founding of the Republic of China in 1949,especially since the reform and opening up,the development of ethnic regions has always been the priority of the national strategy.Over the past few decades,poor and backward economy in ethnic minority areas has been greatly improved,but with the impact of the modern way of life,there have been various problems in the inheritance of some excellent national cultures in ethnic minority areas.This runs countary to the whole set of policies of our party and state for the development of ethnic areas.Therefore,after finding problems,we learn from current experience,draw lessons from history,and promote healthy development in culture.This paper is mainly composed of five parts:Introduction expounds the research purpose and significance,summarizes the current research situation of "field" theory in various fields,introduces the main research content and methods.Chapter I introduces the general situation of traditional Sacrificing Aobao in order to make comparison to Hexi Getu Aobao,in addition,it introduces the general situation of Hure Banner,including history,religion,national environment and so on.Chapter ? introduces the "creation" background of Hexi Getu Aobao,the specific process of Hexi Getu Sacrificing Aobao and existing cultural functions of Hexi Getu Aobao.Chapter ? explains the "field" theory,and discusses the cultural fragment and restructuring caused from power participation combined with Hexi Getu Aobao.The final chapter mainly summarizes the "creation" of Hexi Getu Aobao and introduces that the sacrificing ceremony can be seen as a cultural production process.However,such kind of cultural production function can be different in different stages.In the traditional society,such kind of production basically aims at satisfying the spiritual demands of local residents to present the meanings of removing diseases and expecting a good year.However,it is more like a kind of commodity production currently with the objective of attracting more foreign tourists instead of satisfying the local social demands,which relies on full consideration on the opinions and tastes of foreign tourists and bases on "national characteristic" to attract attention of foreign tourists.The local government"establishes the Aobao culture" in order to develop tourism.As the society,economy and culture is reforming,the urbanization and marketization processes are accelerating,many explicit cultures step towards homogenization and people began to change their traditional ideas,the folk relief relatively maintains the spiritual pursuit of traditional culture and provides certain space for the preservation of national culture characteristic.But how the invasion and control of national power on the traditional culture space will affect the folk culture orientation is worthy of being considered.
