Political Recession is the objective phenomenon in the human political community.To avoid political recession and achieve political development are the goals of each nation's political operation.Political recession research originates the thinking on the recession in the political operation of nation,and the original aspiration in the research foreland of political recession.This research focus on the process,effects,and status of the nation's political operation.In the background of international political development and recession in the post cold war era,political recession is defined from the analysis on the relative concepts.The structural causes and mechanism of political recession are explored in the background of international pattern and the analysis of structural political elements that are closely related to the nation's political operation.The political recession phenomena in the particular nations are analyzed.On the basis of phenomenon analysis,the analysis dimensions are summarized as the degree of political institutionalization,political identity,the operation of party politics,the capacity of national governance,and the capacity of political security.The recession stages are summarized as early warning stage of recession,critical stage of recession,and long-term recession stage from the analyses of recession trends.“Political stability under disequilibrium” is proposed as the key in analyzing whether a nation's political operation can be stable or not.The relationship between political stability and political recession are demonstrated.In the last,the theoretic routes,from which political recession can be avoided and political development can be achieved,are proposed for the limitations of western political development theory.
