Research On The Leadership Of The Communist Party Of China During The Yan'an Period

The leadership of the Communist Party of China(CPC)is the most essential feature of socialism with Chinese characteristics.Since the 1920 s,the Chinese nation,under the leadership of CPC,has achieved great achievements in revolution,construction,reform and opening up,and its comprehensive national strength has clearly increased.The Chinese nation is striding on the road to achieving great rejuvenation.Why is CPC so successful? From the perspective of leadership,the CPC is a party of great leadership,for it seeks benefits for the people and thus people are willing to follow it.The Third Plenary Session of the 18 th CPC Central Committee pointed out that the overall goal of comprehensively deepening reform was to improve and develop the socialism with Chinese characteristics and modernize the national governance system and governance capacity.One of the most important capabilities in national governance lies in leadership.Therefore,to constantly improve the leadership of CPC constitutes an important part of the modernization of governance capabilities.Valuable lessons can be drawn from the successful experiences and practices in the history of CPC.To study its history of the,Yan'an period plays a significant role.The thirteen years the CPC Central Committee spent in Yan'an is a crucial period in the development history of CPC and it contains a wealth of leadership wisdom.During the Yan'an period,the leadership of CPC was mainly manifested in five aspects: political leadership,ideological leadership,organizational leadership,social appeal,military combat effectiveness.Political leadership is the commander of the leadership of CPC.CPC's political leadership refers to the influence of political leaders on political principles,political direction,and decision-making of major policy.Leaders and leaders groups play an important role in the organization.During the Yan'an period,CPC finally established Mao Zedong's core leadership in the whole party,and produced a central leadership group with Mao Zedong as the core leader,laying the foundation of the political leadership for the victory of the new-democratic revolution.Ideological leadership is the soul of the leadership of CPC.CPC's ideological leadership refers to the influence on thought.It is the party's ability to continuously advance the theoretical innovation and use the party's innovative theory to educate and arm the broad masses of party members and people,to unite their thoughts,to guide revolutionary practice,and to resist all wrong ideas.Leadership thought leads to leadership ability.During whole party and all social classes.Organizational leadership is the foundation of the leadership of the CPC.CPC's organizational leadership refers to the overall influence and cohesiveness of the CPC,which was reflected when CPC inspired party members' willingness,developed their ability and improved party organizations' governance mechanism in order to realize the party's creeds and goals.During the Yan'an period,the CPC put forward a proposition that party building was a great project.The leadership of the CPC mainly comes from the party's building which has solved the problem of work willingness of Communists,mobilized and motivated the enthusiasm and creativity of all party members,who were able to consciously recognize the party's program,line,principles and policies,and voluntarily dedicate their own wisdom in order to achieve the party's goals.Besides,it is also enhanced when great importance is attached to the building of party members and cadres' ability and quality,which enables the abilities and qualities of all party members and cadres to be matched with the party's tasks.What's more,both the establishment of flexible organizations and efficient and smooth operational communication mechanisms make contributions to CPC's leadership of as well,for strong institutional safeguards and binding mechanisms were established.Social appeal is the embodiment of the leadership of CPC.The social appeal of CPC refers to the ability of CPC to influence,condense,mobilize,and guide the entire society through the united front.During the Yan'an period,the CPC united all forces that could be united,united all aspects of power,and established a broad coalition of united fronts.It reflects the strong social appeal of the CPC.This appeal is a manifestation of the leadership of the Communist Party.The leadership of the CPC on the united front stems from the implementation of a reasonable governance mechanism,giving a full play to the people's army,under CPC's leadership,was established,and defeated the Japanese imperialists and Kuomintang reactionary army through the armed struggle,which shows a strong fighting power.This is the embodiment of the outstanding leadership of CPC.The formation of this kind of combat power first comes from the education of serving the people wholeheartedly and the military democracy that values the material interests and innovation of the officers and men.Second,it springs from the correct military strategy guidance ability.The officers and men have higher ability and quality,who can identify the functions of organization according to the changing environment.Third,the power stems from the advantages of political construction,which ensures the party'sabsolute leadership over the military,the ability to adopt flexible organizational structures based on changes in the environment,and strict organizational discipline.
