This study compares changes of departments in colleges and universities,professional disciplines,teachers,students,teaching equipment before and after 1950s' adjustment of colleges and departments,objective analysis of the positive and negative influence on higher education in Jiangsu.The research methods of borrowing sociology are mainly: 1.Literature research method.Using literature as the main carrier of the research object,it is used as the main evidence to form a scientific understanding of the research object through the collection,identification and sorting.In the process of analyzing these literatures,pay attention to the combination of qualitative research and quantitative research,and provide basis and support for in-depth study with real and rich materials and data.2.Historical comparison method.Using historical data,the method of longitudinal comparative study of historical subjects is carried out according to the chronological order of historical development.By means of data mining and careful analysis,the specific changes of the object are found.Through the above research methods,the main contents of this research are:1.Background research on adjustment of colleges and departments in the 1950 s.From the perspective of politics,economy and ideology,discovery the causes and motivation of 1950s' adjustment of colleges and departments in the early days of the republic of China.In addition,from the geographical background of Jiangsu province,analyze the particularity of the adjustment of colleges and departmentsin Jiangsu province.2.Analyze the development of education before liberation of Jiangsu.Restore the basic situation of the higher education in Jiangsu province through sorting of the education pattern in the former Jiangsu province before liberation.3.Review of adjustment process in Jiangsu province in the 1950s' adjustment of colleges and departments.The adjustment of the colleges and departments is divided into four stages: the adjustment of the prelude stage from 1949 to 1950;Preliminary adjustment and preparatory phase of 1951;the period of comprehensive adjustment between 1952 and 1953 and the partial transition period from 1955 to 1957.Analyze in detail by reviewing the features and main tasks of the four adjustment stages,the adjustment and reform of higher education.4.Analyze the changes of higher education in Jiangsu before and after 1950s' adjustment of colleges and departments.From the perspective of education concept,management system,higher education,department,faculty,and teaching,this paper analyzes the specific changes of Jiangsu higher education from these seven perspectives.5.Analyze the influence of the adjustment of colleges and departments on Jiangsu higher education in the 1950 s.Based on the perspective of Jiangsu province,this study analyzes the positive,negative and subsequent effects of the adjustment.This study objectively obtained the influence of the adjustment of colleges and departmentson higher education in Jiangsu,through studying on background,process,and changes in 1950s' adjustment of colleges and departments.The following conclusions are drawn during the study:1.The 1950s' adjustment of colleges and departmentshad its inevitability,which was driven by the politics,economy,mainstream ideology and other factors.The political decision-making had laid the overall situation of the adjustment of the department.The development of economic construction needed to determine the implementation content of the adjustment of the department,whilethe reform and guidance of the mainstream ideology laid the ideological foundation for the adjustment of the department.In addition,the sensitivity and complexity of Jiangsu province also determined the complexity and particularity of the adjustment of colleges and departments in Jiangsu province.2.The higher education of Jiangsu before liberation was in a more developed and leading state,which was also maintained until after being taken over.Before liberation in Jiangsu region had higher social impact on the development of institutions of higher learning,based on the social service,social development,but also existing some problems,such as developing school quality levels not neat,unreasonable and imbalance distribution.Before liberation,the communist party of China accumulated teaching and management experience through running higher education in revolutionary base area,focused on theory with practice,insisted on combining education with productive labor,attached great importance to the fine tradition of ideological and political education and gone down to the education practice after the founding of the country.3.The 1950s' adjustment of colleges and departments in Jiangsu province was planned and carried out in four stages.After the liberation of Jiangsu province,the full control of education and the initial transformation and adjustment of the old education can be seen as a prelude to the adjustment of colleges and departments in the 1950 s.A prelude to the stage,on the basis of the guidelines and policies of brewing and form,in order to maintain stability of higher education as the premise,gradual adjustment and transformation as the method,to ensure that the regime change in the smooth transition of higher education.1951 for departments to adjust the preliminary development stage,this stage further defined the direction of the reform and development of higher education,colleges and universities in areas of Jiangsu province had carried on the preliminary adjustment,also laid the foundations of thought for comprehensive adjustment of colleges and departments.From 1952 to 1953 for comprehensive adjustment stage,the stage of adjustment for short,wide range,in 1952 the adjustment lasted two months,involving almost all colleges and universities in Jiangsu region,only three schools in adjustment to maintain the original state.To adjust the concept of “national game of chess”,the adjustmentof colleges and departments and professional setting of departments around industrial construction talents and teacher strength are the focus of this adjustment.1955-1957 was a strategic transfer phase.This stage was to cooperate with the development of the country and support the construction of universities in mainland China as the central task,and further adjust and develop its own key major.4.The changes of the higher education in Jiangsu province in the 1950 s had been shown in many aspects,and the changes had been larger.Some of these changes had obvious features of Jiangsu.The changes of the institutions of higher learning and professional for departments in Jiangsu was directly caused by adjustment,but the changes of education idea,management system,teachers and students situation and teaching,adjustment was a chain effect.Under the common changes of the whole country,the adjustment of Jiangsu area also had certain particularity.5.From the perspective of Jiangsu province,the impact of the 1950s' adjustment of colleges and departments was treated objectively and fairly.From the positive influence,the smooth transition of Jiangsu higher education was realized through the adjustment of colleges and departments.Adapted to the reality of national development.Promoted the ordinary course of Jiangsu higher education;it had also improved the regional imbalance of education in Jiangsu province.The negative effect was mainly manifested as: first,the simple and brutal adjustment of the way showed a lot of negative effects.For example,the ideological rigidity of the intellectual community,the negative emotions of teachers and students,opening the gap of state administrative power to intervene in colleges and universities,resulting in the loss of autonomy of universities,and the loss of the higher education in Jiangsu,etc.Second,the adjustment of colleges and departmentswas the central policy of education,which leaded to the cultivation of talents.The specific performances were: the number of students was rapidly increasing,the caliber of personnel training was narrow,the situation of heavy industry was clear,and the phenomenon of “encouraging and encouraging” was frequent.Third,through the university moving out of the merger,the external migration of the department,the teacher's transfer,the graduate distribution and other channels to support.Excessive support had caused Jiangsu higher education to be “weakened”.Fourth,the university,the department “concussion” was violent;accompany Jiangsu politics,economy,and education status decline.Fifth,the local adjustment of colleges and departmentsin the late period leaded to the reappearance of the imbalance of regional development,which involved the imbalance of the regional distribution of the number of colleges and universities.1950s' adjustment of colleges and departments for the influence of the jiangsu higher education is not limited to the time,some influence continues today,even the adjustment not only laid a pattern of the development of higher education in jiangsu,it also makes it easier to jiangsu higher education the status of the former is difficult to reproduce,the developing gap resulting from the adjustment of higher education in jiangsu province is still obvious.
