This article takes the adjustment of Yunnan University Faculty as the research object in the 1950 s,adopts the literature research method,case study method and historical research method,and conducts research on the adjustment of Yunnan University Faculty by collecting,sorting,summarizing and comparing the relevant historical materials.Starting from the specific situation of Yunnan University before the adjustment of the department,restore the process of the early adjustment of Yunnan University and the subsequent comprehensive adjustment,based on the historical data of the collection of the archives of the Yunnan University Archives,analyze in detail before and after the adjustment of the departments Changes in conditions and other aspects,to intuitively reflect the development and changes of Yunnan University under the historical conditions at that time.This research explores the background,process,and changes of the adjustment of Yunnan University in the 1950 s,and analyzes the impact of the adjustment of departments on Yunnan University from an objective perspective.Through research,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Facilitated by various factors such as politics,economy,and the development needs of higher education,the adjustment of colleges and departments was inevitable in the 1950 s.Before the adjustment of the department,Yunnan University is one of the 32 public universities directly under the Ministry of Education and has a high social influence.(2)The adjustment of departments and departments of Yunnan University in the 1950 s was planned and carried out in three stages.1949-1952 was the initial adjustment stage,which laid the foundation for the follow-up comprehensive adjustment of the faculties.During the comprehensive adjustment period from 1953 to 1954,the adjustment focus was mainly on the cultivation of industrial construction talents and teachers.From 1955 to 1958,it was the supplementary stage of the faculty adjustment.The adjustment at this stage is mainly to meet the needs of national economic construction.(3)The changes of Yunnan University before and after the faculty adjustment in the 1950 s are manifested in many aspects,and the changes are relatively large.The changes are caused by a series of chain effects caused by the adjustment of departments.In this adjustment and change of colleges and universities across the country,the adjustment of the departments of Yunnan University has its particularity.(4)After the adjustment of the faculty,excessive support led to the "spiritual injury" of Yunnan University.Although corrections and corrections were made to correct some of the "sequelae" left by the adjustment,the former status was difficult to reproduce.This adjustment also laid the foundation for the development of higher education in Yunnan Province and improved the uneven development of higher education in Yunnan Province.Considering from the perspective of the history of higher education,the adjustment of departments in the 1950 s has both advantages and disadvantages.Therefore,the study of the adjustment of the departments of Yunnan University in the 1950 s has historical enlightenment and reference for the development and education reform of Yunnan University,Yunnan Province,and even higher education institutions.
