Church Colleges' Reformation And Adjustment Since The Founding Of The P.R.C

In the new situation, facing the new democratic education policy of the "Common Program", a series of adjustments were made by Cheeloo University. The government of China decided to change Church Colleges to public university or private schools of people's self-raised funds based on the condition of funding sources. In the adjustment of the departments of universities in the early 1950s, Church Colleges were all withdrawn in the mainland of China.There were many reasons for this adjustment of the departments of universities, the reasons of reform Church Colleges were their Western colors, religious colors, bourgeois colors, the mode of develop human were not fitting the situation of New China. But, the revocation of all Church Colleges was mainly concerned with the development of China-U.S. relationship. The Chinese government's policy to Church Colleges was greatly influenced by the Korean War, and this was the best proof.
