Professional identity is the internal reason to promote employment and career development,and the university period is the key stage of individual professional identity development.Therefore,the development of college students' professional identity is very important for individual lifelong development.At the same time,the university environment is the main place for college students to construct professional identity,therewith college experience becomes the meaning source and influence factor of college students' professional identity construction.For these reason,exploring the development law of college students'professional identity on the basis of undergraduate learning experience is beneficial to guide college students' professional identity development scientifically.So that higher education can play a better role in talent training and fulfill the mission of promoting college students'career development.This study takes the development of college students' professional identity as the starting point,takes student engagement as the operational concept of undergraduate learning experience,takes Identity Theory,College Impact Theories and Constructivism Theory as the theoretical principle,and carries on the main line of the impact and effect from student engagement.Research method combines literature analysis,theoretical discussion,empirical investigation and interviewing method.By deeply organization,this dissertation concludes the essence of college students' professional identity and its development,and then makes a systematic and in-depth analysis of the inner logic and influencing mechanism of student engagement affecting college students' professional identity,furthermore provides the guiding strategies of college students' professional identity development.The purpose of this study is to explore how to promote college students' professional identity development by higher education means.First of all,this study analyzes the nature of college students' professional identity and its development,and forms a new understanding of the connotation of college students'professional identity on the premise of tracing its theoretical origin.At the same time,the first part explains the elements,classification and characteristics of college students'professional identity and reveals the implication and mechanism of college students'professional identity development.Secondly,this study interprets the relationship between student engagement and college students' professional identity development by literature analysis and interviewing method and career self-efficacy is considered as an intermediary variable.According to this,the relationship model between student engagement and college students' professional identity is built.Furthermore,the empirical research method is used to test the relationship between student engagement and college students' professional identity development.By identifying the student engagement factors that affect college students' professional identity development in undergraduate learning experience,the structural equation model between influencing factors and college students' professional identity is established.On this basis,the influence relationship and influence path between variables are analyzed,and the influence mechanism of student engagement on college students' professional identity development is revealed,the mediating effect of career self-efficacy is examined as well.Finally,combining with the empirical findings,this dissertation puts forward some guiding strategies for the development of Chinese college students' professional identity.
